Testimonials
"I started seeing Trupti because of persistent calf, back, and hip flexor issues that were significantly limiting daily life. I was struggling with regular walks to and from work and found I couldn't enjoy longer hikes around the city without pain. What I appreciated most was how carefully she built up my core strength to avoid further injury. She was incredibly adaptive--when I experienced a setback with neck pain early on, she shifted gears immediately to address it without stalling my overall progress. Through a combination of manual massage, dry needling, and progressive strengthening routines, she has helped me establish a much stronger foundation for continuing an active lifestyle. I highly recommend Trupti for anyone looking for a physical therapist who is highly skilled, responsive to individual needs, and focused on getting you back to your daily routine."
"I chose this clinic because of its specialisation in back problems, after struggling with chronic back pain for several years. My physiotherapist developed a tailored treatment plan combining manual therapy with a comprehensive set of exercises for me to do at home. The approach required commitment, but over time it brought remarkable results -- my pain has significantly reduced, my mobility has improved, and I've regained much of the functionality I had lost. After two years, the improvement in my quality of life has been tremendous, and I'm finally able to do everyday activities comfortably again."
"I chose this clinic based on a recommendation from another physical therapist for my patellar tendonitis. My knee and associated muscular pain bothered me for over five years, resulting in a reduction in my ability to continue my exercise regime of cycling and having to stop running. My physiotherapist developed a tailored treatment plan including dry kneedling, manual therapy and at home exercises to help me resume a lifestyle that I enjoy."
"I first began to see Trupti for a shoulder impingement problem which she helped me resolve in 5-6 weeks. With the high success with my shoulder, I also consulted her for a knee injury that happened on a trip to Turkey. I tripped and fell on that knee 6 months before I saw Trupti for my shoulder. I was working with a trainer and hoped the knee would heal but it did not. Trupti did a thorough analysis of my knee and referred me to a Knee Ortho specialist. He diagnosed it as a "large meniscus tear" -- one that would not heal with just physical therapy and subsequently recommended surgery. Trupti helped me do some pre-operative strengthening so that after surgery, I could recover my strength and stability quickly and prevent any complications or atrophy. I had the knee surgery. The knee rehab went well even though I did have some fluid retention at first and needed a cortisone shot. I was compensating with my other knee and also developed some lower back pain because of it. Trupti provided a holistic approach to treatment looking at all the compensatory movement patterns and helped me correct them. Years back, I had broken my left foot, at which time I was in a hard cast for 8 weeks and then a walking cast for another 8 weeks. I went for Physical Therapy at another place and they limited the PT to my foot and ankle. While walking in that cast, I developed bursitis in my hip. I asked the physical therapist to look at my hip. She would not evaluate it, saying it's not a part of the orders. I didn't get any exercises or stretches from her and my hip continued to worsen. My experience was not a holistic approach to the care like I have received with Trupti. I now have lingering problems because of that, which Trupti has helped correct. My lower back and upper back have gone out on me at times because of these imbalances. Previously when I worked with my trainer, she would just have me rest when that happened and then we would go back to strengthening for a while, and then my back would go out again. It was a vicious cycle of rest and strengthening. With Trupti, because of her holistic approach and focus on stability, she has helped me work on my core, hip, knee stability, and strength to correct the movement patterns and imbalances. The spinal and hip stabilization exercises have always helped, along with dry needling and manual therapy that Trupti uses to put me back in alignment. She also uses a systematic approach with tackling the smaller deep muscles first and then the bigger muscles from the pelvic floor to the abdomen. Because of this approach, my back has not gone out in a long time (sometimes it feels like it may go out, but doesn't, because my muscles are able to hold my stability). Today I've had surgery on both knees and both shoulders, and still was able to take multiple trips both here and abroad, hike, drive on long trips, SCUBA dive, hustle up and down stairs or dance through big family events like my son's wedding. Sometimes wearing heels can still bother my knee. But I always feel a sense of progress with Trupti. I would highly recommend trying a preliminary visit with her, because she knows when something is a big problem that needs attention or if it's a little problem and it's okay to perhaps take it a bit more lightly. The peace of mind, where Trupti can diagnose the problem for you and take the stress out of your situation, is in itself worth it. She is the expert at movement dysfunctions and she will most certainly guide you in the right direction."
"I severely injured my right ankle in a cycling accident a year back. My back wheel started spinning on ice, and as I stepped down, the bike fell sideways and my foot slipped with it, and rolled over. It looked like I was standing with my bones on the tar. Both ankle joints in the right ankle were broken inside. I started my physical therapy at a different physical therapy practice in DC, but I was not seeing much progress. I knew what physical therapy could do for me based on my previous experience in Europe. But at this practice, I felt the exercises were not tailored to what exactly I needed. It felt like a general set of exercises like " You have an ankle injury, so you have to do x,y,z exercises". Nine months later, I was referred to Trupti by a colleague. Immediately there was a difference in my experience with her. She knew what a Pilon fracture was, she looked at my surgery reports and evaluated my ankle thoroughly. She looked at my muscles, measured the strength, told me where I still had atrophy, and prescribed different types of exercises tailored to my specific problem. She also sent me pictures with descriptions of how to do the exercises. She also looked at the whole leg, the knee and hip also, to see how the ankle was affecting the rest of my leg. I already felt like she was more in tune with what was going on with my ankle, the extent of injury, and what all layers to look at, including the prognosis. My goal is to walk and hike long distances without any shin pain and also delay the onset of arthritis in my ankle. I also would like to get back to running. To help others who have similar problems, it's important to pick a physical therapist who thoroughly looks at your injury and problem instead of just putting it into a category...like ankle pain and just gives you a series of ankle exercises like everybody else they are seeing. With Trupti, she explains to me what she sees, what needs to improve, why I need to do certain exercises and because of that I feel motivated, otherwise I often don't feel like doing them. She also reassesses every few visits and looks at technique with exercises and corrects that, gives feedback, and changes it to progress it. What I like about Trupti, is she focusses on me, she cares and creates goals for me unlike other therapists I've seen, I'm doing the exercises. I feel confident and hopeful about my ankle as I am working with Trupti."
"After a year and a half of intermittent neck issues, a sports-related injury led me to Manual Medicine, Spine & Sports Physical Therapy. As a combat sports athlete, neck strength and stability are critical for me, and Trupti quickly diagnosed the problem--something no one else had been able to do. Together, we focused on strengthening and improving movement patterns. Around eight months later, the results are remarkable. My neck feels stronger, I've regained confidence in my physical capabilities, and I've developed a consistent routine to maintain my progress. I've been back to training, injury-free for months, and I'm in the best shape of my life. The care and treatment I received here were exceptional, and I highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking relief from physical pain."
"I started seeing Trupti 3 months ago due to lower back and sciatic pain that I've been dealing with for the past couple of years. I went to the free discovery visit a year ago and I was immediately blown away by Trupti's holistic and individualized approach to patient care. In spite of that, I didn't make the decision to come see her until a year later, thinking that maybe I could heal myself and get rid of the pain on my own, but that didn't work. Since I've been with Trupti I finally feel like someone has my back and is ready to walk this journey with me. I saw the most recommended spinal and hip specialists in the area and was not only not given a proper evaluation, but I was also told this wasn't something they could diagnose or fix. When Trupti saw me she clearly communicated to me what the root cause of the issue was and set clear expectations about my course of treatment. She also keeps me accountable and cares about my health more than I do myself at times which I'm not only grateful for, but I also admire in her!"
"I sustained a shoulder injury at the end of May last year. I was seen by an orthopedic doctor right away and was referred for Physical therapy with Trupti. During a rainstorm at our country house, while carrying a bunch of tools, I slipped on a bridge sideways, and felt very hard on my right elbow, which rammed up into the shoulder and led to the injury. The pain was very intense around the shoulder area, and it was almost impossible for me to move my arm at all. I had a hard time doing any daily activities. I was lucky that the right is not my dominant side. Trupti had been treating my wife post knee surgery, so I had some experience of what physical therapy could do, as she had helped her a lot. The diagnosis at that time of rotator cuff tendinitis was confirmed, and we began treatment. I began to improve a lot over 2 months and I felt very hopeful. I was able to go to the gym, lift weights and use my right arm again for reaching activities. I had gone for an MRI too and it revealed the tendinitis and a small tear in the supraspinatus tendon but it was healing as my symptoms were gone for the most part. However, in the ensuing months 5 months later, there was not a major injury, but a quick sudden movement of my right shoulder when walking with my dog, began to cause more pain again. Trupti had suspected a Supraspinatus injury as I had difficulty raising my arm sideways, and after a few weeks, an orthopedic visit confirmed that this was looking more like a deteriorating, degenerative fuller tear of the supraspinatus rotator cuff tendon. If anyone knows me, I'm the worst patient in the world. I hate going to doctors, I never work with a personal trainer in the gym, I won't go to physical classes in the gym. But I really felt that working with Trupti, I saw how much improvement there was, even week by week, we were battling against what seemed to be a serious injury, but all the stuff I did with Trupti, hugely helped me, and I am a big fan. As I said to my orthopedic doctor, Trupti is terrific, but I'm scared of her...and he reckoned we all are scared of her. I would think if I'm falling behind, I'd say to myself, better catch up, because I'm seeing Trupti tomorrow, and I'll be in trouble. So she has a good way of bullying her patients:-) I am a very active person at my age, I love the outdoors, we have a beach house and I enjoy surfing and swimming, I work out in the gym with weights, I am active with my grandchildren..I hate not feeling fully in command physically. I am going for a shoulder surgery at this point and I can trust that I am in good hands with Trupti with the post-op shoulder rehab, because my life improved hugely in the interim when I was working with her before the Supraspinatus tear."
