Testimonials
"I've seen James 5-6x, and I've sent two friends who've been climbing for 20+ years to him. We both think he's the best climbing physical therapist we've ever seen by a long shot. Really incredible intuition, thoughtfulness, bedside manner, and effectiveness. I can't recommend him enough."
"Dr. Lee is very knowledgeable! He helped me with more climbing-specific rehab for my shoulder than I had been getting elsewhere and didn't need a ton of time to get to a proper assessment of my injury. He's also very kind and easy to work with."
"I had a fantastic experience! Doctor Lee is knowledgeable and professional. I booked my appointment because I had pain in my A2 pulley. Not only did Doctor Lee help me precisely identify the issue and give me exercises to do, but he also taught me the rationale behind those exercises, empowering me with skills and self-sufficiency rather than just providing temporary assistance. A single one-hour visit has been transformative for my self-awareness and understanding of how to rehab my A2 pulley. I will definitely go back to Doctor Lee if I have another issue in the future."
"My only session with Dr. James Lee was fantastic. I came in with recurring pain in my right foot after every run; this went on for two months. I hadn't been able to go more than 5 miles since late February. In just one visit, Dr. Lee performed a wide range of strength tests and evaluations that a previous podiatrist never did. He was incredibly thorough and even suggested I may have ruptured my ATFL long ago--something no one had identified before. He explained each test clearly, including what he was looking for and why, using plain language (aside from basic anatomy). He also ensured I was doing the prescribed exercises correctly and engaging the right muscles. Through his guidance, I went for a run, and the pain was minimal the next morning. One thing to note: Dr. Lee may be out-of-network for some insurance plans and there could be a separate deductible. That said, I'd gladly pay for a proper diagnosis rather than keep wasting time on a chronic issue that isn't improving. He genuinely wants to solve the problem--not keep you coming back unnecessarily. I hope I don't need to see him again (that would mean something went wrong), but if I do, I won't hesitate to return."
"I highly recommended Dr. James Lee of Lee Physical Therapy! He evaluated and treated my shoulder/rotator cuff injury & muscle weakness and provided exercises that I could do at home. After one day of completing the prescribed exercises, I'm already noticing significant improvement. 10/10"
"I met with James a few weeks ago. He asked good questions, listened and assessed the issues I was having. I have been following up with his recommended exercises and am noticing improvement. I would definitely recommend working with him."
"Dr. James Lee has been a fantastic PT for both of my minor finger injuries years apart. Not only is his services very flexible now that he's able to see clients in the gym, but he's just an exceptional PT as well. Explains things remarkably well, gives concise rehabilitation plans, and approaches rehabilitation for climbing injuries from a perspective rooted in data analysis and a deep understanding of the biomechanics of the upper extremities. Could not recommend him further, an absolute gem to have someone with his abilities in the Chicago area!"
"Dr. Lee was so knowledgeable, calm, and respectful. Would 100% recommend him to fellow climbers, whether that's for preventing injury, dealing with pain, and/or getting stronger! I never felt so understood. I'm excited to see where the treatment plan takes me in terms of preventing injury and getting better as a climber!"
