"While the service and care at the location was great, the back-end administration and insurance due diligence was disappointing. Dr. Flammini and Dr. Nimota respectively were excellent in providing the service, and so were the trainers. The conclusion is that I was lied to and subject to a health insurance scam. I was encouraged to enroll by informing me that my insurance would be able to fully cover the 22 free sessions due to my hitting the deductible for 2022. However, over two years later, I was sent a bill for all the services for the sessions in 2022 for almost $1,000 and informed that insurance would not cover these because of a difference of how they interpreted the policy. Note that all the services were rendered in 2022 and I was sent a bill in mid 2024. Thus, I was caught with an enormous bill to pay for the mistakes of AMH in misinterpreting the health insurance policy language. In short, it felt like a massive scam, and I felt lied to by the staff. I do not recommend. There are other providers that would do more due diligence into the health insurance policy language and own up to their mistakes. EDIT: A service representative reached out to me regarding this comment, reviewed my profile, and scheduled a conversation to better understand this breakdown. She sought to address these issues for the future, and directly helped me my reducing the amount I owed to the company. While this situation was not ideal, I am grateful for Michelle's assistance in this and seeking to address the breakdown. Thank you Michelle!"

"I feel bad for giving a bad review because everyone was nice and I do think this could be a good chiropractor to go to if you've been injured in a car accident or something, but my experience wasn't great for general care. First off, you will be charged for chiropractic care AND physical therapy, not just one, which I was not told until I got the bill. My insurance is very good and I'm still dealing with the billing department almost 2 months later to sort everything out... I've never had issues with this anywhere else. As far as treatments go, I went for upper back and shoulder pain from daily overuse. My first few appointments were while Dr. Flammini was out and if I'm being honest the person filling in was better... When Dr. F came back, I was barely adjusted and almost all the focus was on the physical therapy I never agreed to do?? I've been to chiropractors before and have had to do restorative exercises as part of treatment but never full blown physical therapy and workouts. They aggravated my shoulder even more and when I brought up other issues I was just told to do more exercises... I'm a fairly active person and workout on my own so this was frustrating. Every appointment I was also asked about my neck and how it was feeling which wasn't why I was there. I was barely being adjusted and I'm not sure I buy into doing exercises for muscles that were injured from overuse... I'm all for strengthening and using exercise as medicine, but this was too much. I think if you're in a car accident or have injuries from old age this is fine, but I'm young and relatively healthy so this was not what I needed. If you want a chiropractor for general care or overuse injury, go somewhere else."

"I have been to the Aligned Evanston location numerous times for acupuncture and it is excellent. Monique Wheeler is a compassionate and effective acupuncturist. Her treatments are outstanding and she treats the root of the problems. I cannot say enough great things about her and how she helped me."

Spent more time pushing to make a series of appointments and pushing physical therapy to get stronger than doing anything on my son, even when hometown chiropractor took the time to summarize the pin and release technique that has been so successful for my college athlete. Maybe the doctor just doesn't have the training. First chiro appointment in 18 months that he left with no improvement - but how could he when doctor did nothing?"

I met Dr. Anna Butler after an accident in a rideshare vehicle. Frankly, I was a mess--having a lot of unexpected consequences--scary business. Dr. Butler gained my confidence quickly. I felt that she cared. And she knows her stuff! What I particular appreciated was her willingness to refer me to the proper facility for my condition. I am extremely pleased with the treatment I have received; the clarity of explanations. They really do attend to mind/body and soul--as well as the medical issues on may encounter. I trust them.
