Testimonials

Elsa Reyes

"My name is Elsa Go Clark I had my procedure done at the GI clinic on January 7, 2026. I have to say I had the most amazing experience. Everyone made me feel very comfortable from start to finish. The staff were very helpful and attentive. There are two nurses that really caught my attention, Nurse Riza and Nurse Julmer. I was petrified and anxious about the procedure since it was my first time, but Riza and Julmer's professionalism and compassion made it easier for me. They talked to me, made me laugh and made me feel comfortable before and after the procedure which helped me a lot. Thank you so so much! I really do appreciate all the help."

"I recently had the opportunity to visit Walter Reed National Medical Center for a range of healthcare needs, including radiology, dermatology and nutritional guidance. I must say that my experience at this medical center was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with the level of professionalism, expertise, and compassion displayed by the entire staff. The radiology department is truly outstanding. The technicians are highly skilled and knowledgeable, ensuring accurate and timely diagnosis through their state-of-the-art equipment and advanced imaging techniques. The dermatology services at this medical center were second to none. The dermatologist was an expert in his field, and his wealth of knowledge and experience is evident in his thorough examination. Furthermore, I had the pleasure of consulting with a nutritionist at Walter Reed and his expertise and guidance were invaluable in helping me make important dietary adjustments and developing a healthier lifestyle. All of the doctors and technicians listened attentively to my concerns and provided me with personalized solutions. Their professionalism, coupled with their friendly and caring demeanor, created a positive and comfortable environment during my visit. Overall, I highly recommend Walter Reed National Medical Center for its outstanding services. "Absolutely love this place! If anything is going to keep me here it's going to be Walter Reed. Amazing care from the Dr's down to the administration everyone is very caring. What was taking my last Dr to try and diagnose in Oklahoma over 8 months my Dr here found the issue in just 1 visit and we went forward with a rigorous treatment plan and it's only been 2 days and I can read again with severe pain! So grateful for everyone here! Also absolutely love the many people that play such beautiful music on the open to anyone piano. This is such a relaxing thing to listen to while waiting for prescriptions."

"This hospital is the worst and I dread coming here. Sat at the pharmacy for two hours just for them to tell my wife and I that the vitamins the doctor put in for her pregnancy isn't even covered under Tricare. Why do I also have to call the Walter Reed appointment line to get access to Fort Belvoir's hospital, and yet when I call them they say they can't schedule me over there. That they don't do that. I had to wait on hold for 40 minutes to make an appointment and when it was my turn, the line was cut. I had to recall and wait another 40 minutes. Appointments are always months away when I make them. Granted there are probably some departments that work very well and have amazing staff, but the hospital as a whole is ran very poorly. I don't recommend this place to anyone."

"ER care second-to-none. We will never be able to express enough gratitude or repay the emergency team for their expertise, swift action, kindness and professionalism. They saved our family member's life, and took such incredible care every step of the way."

"Originally I wasn't even going to bother to write a review. But since I am going on day 3 of no response I have time. I was sent here for an appointment with Gynecology (11/17/25), specifically Building 39, 4th floor. I honestly didn't know what exactly my appt was about in detail (good ol Navy for ya). ...Anyways... Trying to find where in the building I was suppose to go was nothing but anxiety. Mind you, construction is going on, so be prepared to ask a bunch of people if they know how to get to where you need to get to. The maps are so confusing. I parked in the North parking garage. I entered into the nearest door and looked at the 1st map I saw. Didn't really understand how to get to where I needed to get to. I asked a man in uniform. He told me the easiest way was the basement. I tried remembering all the fine details but I was already consumed in anxiety & I forgot the ending. While in an elevator a lady in uniform, told me she would take me there directly. She said when she 1st got stationed there it took her 2 hours to figure out where to go. Bless her soul! Because it was not a short distance. 1 long basement hallway, into another hallway, a elevator & a few more turns, we made it. The lady at the desk got me checked in & I filled forms out. The next lady called me to the back. She was the sweetest. We had good conversation talking about kids & life. Then I met another lady & eventually my doctor. Fast forward, my appt went good. They were all nice & informational. I ended up leaving & me trying to remember which ways I was suppose to go, I forgot to ask for a doctors note. I live over an hour away from this place & with work, I can't just leave to run & get a note. So for the last 3 days now I have been trying to obtain a doctors note. Mind you, I was having issues trying to get into my portal (my genesis) for the longest time. Day 1 (11/18/25) I call the front desk & explain the lady I need a doctors note & if there is any way to send it to my gmail not my portal for my job. I was in too much pain & couldn't return to work. So she said they usually don't do that. I explained I lived over an hour away & with work it is hard for me to just leave. So she told me she will ask the doctor & she relayed that they will do that. Day goes on & nothing pops in my email. Day 2 (11/19/25) I call the front desk over 9 times back to back because if they don't answer after a certain amount of rings you have to just keep calling the number. A lady with a Spanish accent answers the phone. I reexplain what I needed & how I called the other day. She says she will ask my doctor & then asked if that was it. I responded yes & she immediately hung up the phone. No good byes or anything. I was like ok..? Day goes on & nothing pops in my email. Day 3 (11/20/25) I waited for 7:05am to then start my new routine of calling back to back. This time no answer. After 9 attempts I am honestly tired. I try seeing if I can reset my portal somehow & redo the steps I have tried so many times before. I magically get in. Excited, thinking maybe there might be a doctors note in there. Unfortunately there is no doctors note. There is a breakdown of my appt, etc. It is just extremely frustrating trying to obtain something so simple & less than 60 seconds of ones time. Some jobs are not as patient & people can lose jobs over silly things like this. I just wish this place would actually do what they would say. As much as I don't want to come back to this hospital, I'm pretty sure I have to with my health. But at least I know to write this stuff down on my arm so I don't forget. But anything you want & need. MAKE SURE YOU WRITE IT SOMEWHERE because sweet mother of pearl the length this is dragging is maniacal at this point. I truly believe I will never be able to obtain a doctor's note for this. The portal showed proof that I had an appt schedule so I screen shot that for my job. I do have a breakdown of my appointment but I do not feel comfortable turning that into my job. I hope they do better at some point."
