JAG Physical Therapy

"I went to JAG PT to help relieve osteoporosis in my right knee after an evaluation with an orthopedist at Summit Health. I was impressed with the facility itself and quality of my care. (I'll also disclose that I had one cortisone shot, which helped tremendously.) My knee was very painful, especially at night, so I opted for the cortisone shot, then exercises to help strengthen my quadriceps, hamstrings, and other supporting muscles, etc... My PT was Andrea Varellie, who is very personable, professional, attentive, a good evaluator/diagnostician who set up a great set of exercises, and she has a wonderful sense of humor. I felt immediately comfortable with her. She worked out a good program with resistance bands, balls, and machines, which I continue to follow at home and at the Madison Y gym. Andrea knew when to provide more difficult exercises and challenges and I appreciate that she started slow, always followed up at each session with "how's the knee, how do you feel" and always encouraged open communication when I wanted more intensity or something more challenging. I'd monitor how I felt with the exercises and when I needed more. The gym itself is smaller than other PT facilities I've used, but I prefer that. It's a perfect size for me and I didn't feel rushed along or that I had to compete for Andrea's attention. Though I didn't work directly with Tom Trezza, the Clinical Director, he was available if I had a question or he noticed I needed to adjust a piece of equipment (if Andrea was with another client). I've been a "gym rat" all my life and love working out, so I could work independently after learning the exercise routine. Also a shout out to Shay at the front desk, who is personable and answered any questions I had. I'd definitely go back to JAG should I need treatment for another issue or injury. I highly recommend them!"

"The JAG facility in Morristown is clean and cheerful. The Office staff are professional and helpful. My therapist Allison is intuitive, compassionate and extremely capable. She has helped me immensely, pushing exercises for increased mobility and strength, and encouraging me with clear goals. A friendly rapport which exists between all the therapists and patients within the space is also a nice bonus. I am a very pleased patient."
