It is a long drive for me to see him but I do believe he is the right man for the job, so the drive is worth it! "Best orthopedic surgeon in Virginia and a wonderful person. Doctor Boyd replaced my hip three years ago and the difference is outstanding. Will have him replace my knee next year. Although he is a surgeon, he never pressures patients into surgery. He treated my hip for several years with cortisone shots to manage the pain. Now, he is doing the same with my knee for as long as he can before knee replacement is necessary. I have an injection every three to six months in the knee and so far those are working for now to alleviate the pain. Will schedule surgery next year and am confident Dr. Boyd will do an excellent job. If you need a hip or knee replacement, Dr. Boyd should definitely be your surgeon. Sue"

"I'm almost 14 months post full hip replacement. I continue to notice subtle improvements as strength improves.
