"I needed a knee replacement surgery and Dr Maher was recommended to me by a mutual colleague. Yes, I work in MSW as a RN. The orthopedic service and Dr Maher exceeded my expectations, starting from the consultation. I was provided with reading material at the consultation visit that answered all my questions and prepared me for surgery. A week before surgery a PA went thru everything with me via Zoom call and prepared me for a call from a social worker, who set up my in home PT. Not only the SW called me the same day, a physical therapist called me as well to set up the first visit for the day after surgery. The day of surgery went as well as it could. My immediate post op was full of blisters and bruising, swelling and a lot of pain. I contacted Dr Maher, because ortho is not my specialty, and I was frightened. He and some of his PAs called me and reassured me that what I was experiencing was all normal, and expected. Even several weeks later I received follow up calls. My post op visits went well also. I am really grateful for Dr Maher and all his team to make this experience a little less painful. I will definitely choose Dr Maher when my left knee or either of my hips will need a new one :)"
