"From the moment I scheduled my appointment, I was required to choose only one body part to be evaluated, despite clearly explaining that I had related injuries involving my knee, shin, and foot. That limitation unfortunately set the tone for the visit. The administrative lead refused to perform more than one X-ray, stating that insurance would only cover imaging for one body part. When I asked her to contact my insurance company, she declined. We contacted them ourselves, and our insurance representative was on the phone and ready to confirm coverage for whatever imaging was medically necessary--but the administrator refused to speak with them. She also proceeded to diagnose my knee pain despite having no clinical credentials. We were repeatedly told that the PA only has 20 minutes per patient and that this was insufficient to assess multiple areas. During the PA visit, there was visible impatience when I asked for my interconnected injuries to be evaluated, and I was even told that the practice must see a certain number of patients per day to make money. That was deeply unsettling to hear as a patient seeking care. I eventually had to say something that should never need to be said in a medical setting: I am not a body part--I am a whole person who is injured and worried about my health. Once that was expressed, the PA did become more attentive, examined all areas, answered my questions, and ordered an MRI. However, by then, the damage to trust had already been done. The only positive experience was the staff member who fitted me with my orthopedic boot--he was kind, cheerful, and compassionate. He was the first person who made us feel like human beings rather than numbers. Overall, this practice felt driven by volume and profitability rather than patient-centered care. I hope leadership takes patient feedback seriously and reflects on how policies and culture are impacting the experience of those who come here seeking help."
"Stay far away from PA's at this office. I had a very inadequate experience with a female one. Not impressed at all. I drive an hour and half to go to the appointment and she fails in many ways. Not to mention never sent the order for my cervical to the mri center. I called before my appointment to make sure that it was sent in and they said it was. Got to my appointment for the MRI and they only had three now I will be exposed once again to radiation for something they could have done together when they did my spine. NOT HAPPY! They made me see a pa before I got to see a doctor. Never doing that again. There is a great orthopedic doctor for your knee named Dr. Aguiar!"
"The medical care was fine, but the billing process was very frustrating. I was billed long after my visit due to a vendor transition recently in December 2025. I attempted to dispute the charge and was told to wait for a decision, but no one followed up and I had to repeatedly call to check the status myself while still receiving automated billing reminders. In addition, the automated billing AI agent interactions also felt dismissive and unhelpful, which added to the frustration. This could have been handled much more professionally."
"I came here for a second opinion after seeing a PA and Orthopedic Doctor at another Ortho Virginia practice. Jeffrey Hamilton PA provided me, within minutes of my describing my injury and pain, with a totally different diagnosis that was confirmed by the X-rays he ordered there. It was worth a 3+ hour drive to get the care I needed after months of pain. I will return here for further care."
"So far so good. This was our first time at the Ortho. My son broke his right wrist while playing at the playground. We went to PM Pediatrics and took xrays and they confirmed that he needed to see a pediatric orhto. We called on a Monday and the wonderful rep who helped me was so kind and easy going. She was able to give us a 1050am appt on the same day. We arrived and we checked-in at the self-kiosk which was super easy. We checked in and we went to the front desk and finished with Brigette. She was so kind and helpful. She gave us important information and after she finished with us, we sat down for 2 minutes and a nurse called us in. He took my son's weight and height and brought us to a room where we waited for Dr. Hamilton. Dr. Hamilton was very kid-friendly, informative, and genuinely-sound when talking to me about expectations, diagnosis and recovery for my son's broken wrist. I brought xray images that were taken at PM Pediatrics but Dr Hamilton wanted more angles so he can diagnose properly. THe xray technician was gentle and swift with the job. After the xrays were done, Dr Hamiliton talked to me and offered recommendations. I felt very comfortable with his recs so we ended up getting a cast (fiber glass). The entire procedure took only 15 mins and my son followed directions very well. The technician who did it was so kind and gentle with him. We have two more follow ups and I am happy that we found this location."
"Actually, this is my first visit to the center and I'm happy that I felt comfortable, especially with the specialist Amy; she's a very kind person."
"Such a terribly managed practice. AI phone operator? Awful. Once you get past the AI operator? Awful. We called no less than 8 times to get access to the portal, try to get on the schedule (they didn't follow up after imaging) and twice the person on the phone told us the wrong location. We show up on time and they tell us to wait past our appointment time to then tell us to reschedule. Not coming back and we probably needed surgery."
"I can't say enough about how efficiently this office is run. Everyone is super knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I was expecting a long frustrating experience, and this was exactly the opposite. Truly five star"
