"I would like to share how Dr. O has helped me with my lower back pain. I have experienced three major bouts with lower back pain over the past 25 years. I have had two MRIs, been examined by an orthopaedic doctor, and gone through three different rounds of physical therapy. After my latest round of PT failed to alleviate my back pain, I was almost ready to accept the fact that turning 70 years old might have some permanent disadvantages. A friend suggested that I try a chiropractor. While searching for a chiropractor close to my home I came across the website for North Park Chiropractic Center. I was impressed with the professionalism of the website design and the abundance of information provided. My first visit with Dr. O included an evaluation and practical suggestions for addressing things that were potentially exasperating my back pain. Dr. O suggested that I move my wallet from my rear left pocket to a front pocket to alleviate the pressure on my lower back. Dr. O recommended using a particular sized pillow against my lower back while sitting and not sitting for extended periods of time. Dr. O modified some of the exercises that I have been doing and provided me with some new ones. The manipulation treatments that I have received from Dr. O have really worked. Prior to my most recent back injury I was walking five to seven miles most mornings. Prior to my first session with Dr. O, I couldn't walk more than a quarter mile without experiencing lower back pain with pins and needles shooting done my right leg. I recently competed my ninth session with Dr. O and am able to walk three miles with very limited pain and five miles with some moderate pain that no longer radiates down my leg. I am optimistic that additional treatments will help my symptoms continue to improve. I also would like to mention that the entire staff at North Park Chiropractic is absolutely wonderful. After several visits at North Park there was a glitch with my medical insurance company. I was unable to resolve the problem on my own, but Ms. Diane made numerous phone calls on my behalf and was able to straighten things out.
