Testimonials
"So let me start off by saying I came to the Albany Park location for eight month's of post-op rehab after a broken clavicle and ruptured rotator cuff, and the quality of care was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment you walk in, Andrea greets you with a contagious smile that alone helps ease the aches and pains. Liz played a critical role in my recovery--I couldn't have asked for a more capable therapist. She's an experienced professional who clearly loves helping people. Nina was also amazing, overseeing my recovery and progress throughout eight months of therapy. She was informative, attentive, and always able to explain things in a way I could easily understand. The girls were very empathetic and it is obvious that they genuinely love what they do which makes it a warm and welcoming environment. I truly enjoyed my experience at this location and if I ever feel too dizzy or am suffering from a concussion I know where to go. tldr- Highly recommend Athletico Albany Park."
"As an athlete who has been to several PT clinics, I can't recommend this one enough. The vibes are fun and upbeat, while at the same time the staff are all extremely knowledgeable/experienced/professional. The front desk/office side of the clinic runs like a swiss watch -- Andrea is a one-woman show of scheduling, paperwork, and insurance navigation. Liz is an amazing physical therapist who can work with any patient, and I was more than happy with my progress working with her. To the corporate pencil-pushers reading this: this is the best Athletico clinic I've been to and should be a model for others on the area. Please approve Nina's requests to repair the table with the holes in it and replace some of the ceiling tiles. She is a great manager and deserves a nice clinic."
"THE place to go for Vertigo symptoms! I don't leave reviews but my experience at the Athletico in Albany Park is changing that. A huge shout out to Vestibular Specialist Liz for her experience and validating care in helping me overcome this horrible bout with vertigo. Andrea and Kaitlyn deserve accolades as well for being in the room helping me feel safe and cared for. I've dealt with vertigo before, but this bout was the worst I've experienced. I was in distress and panic when I walked in the door. These women went into action; listening and validating with patience and care. I felt safe in Liz's capable hands. I was able to be seen the same day we called due to a cancellation and it couldn't have come at a better time. They were so accommodating and I couldn't be more grateful. And Liz, thank you so much!! Corporate, take note of this review. Give them all a raise please. David R."
"This is the best PT experience I've ever had! I came in with a whole bunch of concurrent injuries, a lot of pain, and complicated insurance issues but this Athletico team has been the bright spot in an otherwise really difficult situation. The facility is always really clean, the patients are well cared for, they've got tons of equipment, and I trust the advice and care I'm receiving. Everyone has been great to work with- Liz is incredible and so far has really improved my mobility, Francisco is great and makes it easy to communicate and keep track of appointments. Super grateful for this team and I definitely recommend this place! "
"I could not have had a better team helping me recover from my c-section than Liz and Nina at Albany Park Athletico! They were both incredibly knowledgeable about how to work with my recovering body, full of great advice, and just kind people and supportive coaches. My time working with them felt less like a chore and more like an investment in getting healthy and feeling well. I'd wholeheartedly recommend them to any person who needs PT, particularly other new moms. The whole staff were full of delightful people who made weekly PT something to look forward to. Thanks, team!"
"The crew at Albany Park Athletico takes the meme "I can fix her," seriously. I am a runner who primarily focuses on half-marathons. I was experiencing frustrating knee pain, and my primary care doc referred me to this location. The Athletico team has helped me not only feel better, but they've also helped me understand what caused my knee issues and how to treat them. The space is clean, and everyone is friendly and encouraging. When you're injured, t's easy to feel discouraged when you are not only in pain but also have to do undo old habits and start new ones. The AP Athletico crew helped me keep positive and focused on taking the healing and strengthening journey day-by-day. Finally, I feel well-equipped with a toolkit of exercises they've shown me to do at home to supplement my work in the location. I'm very thankful for all of the work they do and care they put into helping people."
"Well I just love the team at this Athletico! I've had experiences at other locations that are far less personable. Liz, Caitlin, Nina, and Michael have always kept me laughing and are encouraging. They also do what they need to do (think DEEP tissue massages) and hold you to doing what you need to do (at-home exercises) to get better. I'm so glad Performance Podiatry recommended them because it's only been a positive experience for me. The sense of camaraderie between patients who are consistently scheduled with another PT at the same time also makes the sessions more enjoyable. I've highly recommended them to others and will keep doing so!"
"As a first-timer to physical therapy, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it certainly wasn't what I experienced during my appointment at Athletico. After a quick assessment from my physical therapist, she told me that I had a knot that needed to be addressed for my condition to improve in the future. She then proceeded to put me through excruciating, nearly unbearable pain using her elbow, which left me crying on the table with the door wide open throughout the remainder of the treatment and my time there. While I could understand the need for this type of treatment at some point during physical therapy, my most significant criticism is that it was traumatizing to experience during a first-time appointment. There was no trust or relationship built between myself and the physical therapist, which would've given me some comfort and allowed me to believe that she was doing a necessary treatment where extreme pain was the only way forward. Two days later, I'm still in a lot of pain from her treatment, and I will not return to this specific physical therapist or Athletico again. I haven't been able to run or exercise without pain since my appointment, which is extremely frustrating. At the end of the day, this therapist and I weren't a match, which is perfectly fine. However, if I had been at a different point in my health journey, this negative experience may have deterred me from seeking care again, and it's for that reason that I'm leaving this review."
