Testimonials

J C

"Thank you for the great care, Doctor. Everyone on your staff was so welcoming and kind for my first visit. I feel much better now"

Betsy Cecchetti

"Dr. Danaceau was personable, professional, and had clearly reviewed my ER records and history. He listened and anticipated questions and concerns. The office staff were helpful and efficient, and I was able to have x-rays taken on site."

rumginny

"Broke my femur. Dr. Danaceau put a titanium plate and seven screws to hold it together. The most painful part was having the staples removed!"

Cliff Shettler

"I don't recommend this surgeon. Dr Danaceau was assigned to my 90-year-old mother when she was hospitalized with a broken hip after a fall. He refused to answer even my most basic questions about her break and said he was only calling to get my permission to operate. He quickly became accusatory and told me I better not refuse the surgery he wanted to do, and if I did then Medicare would not pay anything toward her hospitalization. I have worked in health care and Medicare benefits consulting for a long time and this is not true. It is a fear tactic used in the past to force patients to accept medical interventions they didn't want. I ultimately did agree to the surgery, and it did not go well. She has never walked since and it hasn't healed after 3 months. Dr Danaceau's office calls every few weeks and asks her to come in for follow-ups, which I have finally refused to allow because they are stressful for my mother and not useful, and the same thing could be accomplished with a mobile x-ray, although his office would not get paid as much. I hope others can learn from my experience."

"The staff and Dr. Danaceau were very nice and friendly but that is the only reason that I would give two stars instead of one. I broke my ankle and went here because their schedule was very schedule. However, after taking the x-ray, Dr. Danaceau provided his assessment of the injury and recovery timeline. Every time I had follow up visit he just tells me that it's getting better but then the recovery time would keep getting pushed. Every time I made a follow up visit, he would just tell me to go to physical therapy and follow up again a month after. This continued for few months and there really hasn't been much of an improvement and I really did not know why I'm visiting this Dr. when the answers are always the same. My ankle never recovered on projected timeline (3 months) and is still not 100% after 18 months. It feels like he doesn't really take the effort to address each patient's injury scenario in detail. It was waste of time and money to visit."

Ben T

"My son broke his arm and Dr. Danaceau made sure it healed properly and gave an exceedingly high in value, level of care. So much so that when my son managed to break his arm again we ignored the emergency room's ortho Dr. and went to him for a second opinion. He remembered my son from the first visit and his opinion was to do a lightly invasive surgery to ensure that my son's arm would heal properly and ensure proper range of motion. He did the surgery and all was well. This man and his staff are beyond amazing."

Ora Alger

"The times I've visited Ortho Virginia, and have seen Dr.Danaceau, I have walked away with the reassurance that my medical situation has been and we'll be taken care of to the Fullest extent of making me healthy and whole again. I trust Dr. Danaceau medical judgment and experience 100%."

"Dr D. Has cared for my daughter and I for at least 10 years. It's easy to see what type of man he is by the fact that his staff has been the same through all the years. If the staff were unhappy, they'd leave. Clearly they are as happy as they are professional. As a doctor, Dr. D. Has always been caring, personable, knowledgeable and LISTENS to his patients. He operated on my torn knee(Mcl, lcl, pcl, acl and meniscus) I kept Dr. D. On speed dial, for me and my daughter!"
