Testimonials

LaShon Frazier

"Never thought I'd say this, but my hospital stay was actually great. Huge shoutout to Dr. Siram and the entire staff their customer service was top-notch. The operation team's warm welcome outside the OR truly impressed me. Sometimes, it's the small things that make all the difference. Stay positive and trust the process!"

"Great experience at Summit. My physical therapist, Casey Smith, is superb! Under his care, I quickly recovered mobility and strength in my arm/hand following a broken wrist that required surgery. He's extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and encouraging. Highly recommend Casey!"

"I underwent right thumb CMC arthroplasty with tendon transfer performed by Dr. Haque, and I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. Although I had relocated to Florida, I chose to return to Maryland for my surgery because of Dr. Haque's outstanding reputation and my prior care with him. I am very glad I did. The surgery went extremely well, and I am now progressing through the physical therapy phase with confidence. The entire team was exceptional. Isadora was truly the quarterback of the process--she expertly guided me through the paperwork and preoperative information and was instrumental in resolving an unexpected issue with my pain medication. The prescription had accidentally been sent to my Florida pharmacy, which we didn't realize until the day of surgery. Isadora quickly stepped in, coordinated with Dr. Haque, and had it cancelled and re sent to a local Maryland pharmacy. Her responsiveness and attention to detail made a stressful situation completely manageable. I was understandably anxious about surgery, and the nursing staff--Melisa, Raven, and Laia--were absolutely wonderful. Each of them was kind, patient, and reassuring, and they went out of their way to help keep me calm and comfortable. Their compassion made a meaningful difference. Dr. Kimball, the anesthesiologist, was also outstanding. She took the time to thoroughly explain everything related to anesthesia, which greatly eased my concerns and helped me feel fully prepared and at ease. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Haque and the entire team for their professionalism, expertise, and genuine care. Thank you all for making this experience as positive as possible."

"I had a TKA 18 days ago performed by Dr. Siram on my left knee. So far my rehab and recovery has been relatively easy - much easier than I expected. I did not take any opioids, only Journavx (a non-opioid pain med) and extra strength Tylenol. I was off the walker and on to a cane by day 3 and off the cane by day 10. By day 17 I was able to bend my knee to 128 degrees. I know that I got into very good shape prior to the surgery and I believe that, along with Dr. Siram's surgical skills and my compliance with the after surgery protocols has made a huge difference. My right knee also needs a TKA and I will have that performed sometime in the future by Dr. Siram. Dr. Siram's team, including his surgery scheduler and NP have both been great as well."

"Fortunately, I had the opportunity to be taken right away by the PA because they had an opening within an hour of my call. Carl Durias PA was excellent!!! Also the new office is absolutely beautiful. I like the location. I like the staff that processed inbound and outbound. And I'm looking forward to my physical therapy which has an excellent view of Bethesda. Thank you all very much"

"I had a Cortizone shot yesterday at the Chevy Chase office. I've had numerous Cortizone shots before, but they never really worked at all. Yesterday's was administered by PA named. Sarah. She was great. The shot hardly hurt and more importantly it is working very well so far. This is a new experience for me and well worth the five stars that I gave it. Thank you, you, Sara. . Melanie, who scheduled the appointment on the phone was also extremely helpful."

"Great, modern facility. The staff were friendly and efficient and my appointment with Dr. Siram was right on time. Dr. Siram listened carefully and answered all my questions - overall a great experience."

"Dony is a superb physical therapist. I have had a number of orthopedic issues over the years, and I was already doing a lot to deal with them. However, after a nasty fall in July, I realized what I was doing wasn't working, and I needed help. When I first got there, I was rather down. Doony said he could help me, and I felt hopeful. Dony did a very careful assessment of my kyphoscoliosis. He made important corrections to some of the exercises I had been doing, added just a few pivotal ones, and set me up with lumbar traction. He gradually advanced the setting on the traction, increased the time that I had had before, and in makeing these adjustments, ensured that I derived maximum benefit. It is great to be able to stand up straighter. I really appreciate the fact that Dony tuned in to how much I had already been doing. He has been sensitive to not overburdening me with exercises. Some of the exercises I can incorporate into my regimen at the gym, some during my appointments, and some at home. As part of my gait problem, Dony has also been helping me with my knee. He taught me useful strenthening exercised, and how to apply kinesiotape, which helps. He has also been attentive to my issues with my hips and shoulders that contribute to my gait. Although still a work in progress, my gait is better; I don't rock as much when I walk. Some of the gait exercises are helpful without being too time-consuming. Dony has encouraged me but does not push me beyond what I am capable of. He is always careful and quite concerned about safety, sometimes slowing me down when I get too eager. Dony is extremely knowledgeable and kind, and has a pleasant demeanor. I am very grateful to be working with him."
