"As a physician myself I can attest to the quality of work, knowledge and bedside manners of Dr. Chin Lee. I am a very high risk patient for surgery and no other surgeon would agree to perform surgery on me, However, Dr. Chin performed hip replacement surgery on me Six years Iago without any problems and with excellent results. God bless him. He is a great physician, and person."

"I was a patient of two chin Lee at the university of Penn hospital. He performed a right knee surgery to repair a torn patella tendon and then put me in a cast for 9 weeks. Lee has a terrible disposition went I first met him. He said IM NOT PERFORMING THE SURGERY IF YOU REFUSE TO GO INTO A CAST! I had just met Lee and had never told him I wasn't willing to go into a cast. I knew Dr lees surgery failed the minute I took the cast off because my knee was bending when it should of been in a straight position. I address my concerns over and over with Lee for months, but never did anything. My concerns and questions never even ended up in my medical patient record. Gwo chin Lee always wrote that I had no concerns during my follow up visits. FINALLY, i receive a letter from lee saying he was no longer on the university of penn hospital staff. I did some research and found out he was in new york. I believe university of penn told lee he had to leave their hospital because of botched surgeries. I spoke to a friend of mine and found out lee had messed up knee also.Throughout the year I continued falling while walking and my physical therapist said I should get some test done because my leg wouldn't straighten all the way no matter what the therapist did. The VA did an ultrasound and determined that the patella was still tore and that lees surgery did absolutely nothing. I finally fell while walking down the steps inside my home and tore my left knee patella tendon. A new PENN surgeon was called in and initiated surgery on my left knee regarding the torn patella tendon and knee revision. The surgeon then went inside my right knee and cleaned up lees botched surgery before I fell again. Almost 3 years later, I am still in the hospital because of gwo chin Lee. It is my opinion that this guy should not operate on you"

"This review is ONLY a review of the office which Dr. Lee is associated. I have never met nor spoke with Dr. Lee. His web site and credentials are definitely formidable. I wanted to see Dr. Lee, regarding an arthritic knee, but was informed he is ONLY a surgeon, and I would need to be referred to him. Dr. Lee's office referred me to Dr. King. In my many attempts to contact Dr. King led to exasperation, which resulted in a bad conversation when they finally returned my call. Bottom line, they did not want me as a patient. I called back Dr. Lee's office, to ask if they might have another referral. Unlike Dr. King's office, Dr. Lee has a courteous and professional staff. However, the manager, Pryia, told me that since I was black listed by Dr. King, they also have to black list me. I asked her her opinion on why I was upset, for example, is it alright not to return calls for 6 hours. She said that as long as the call is returned within 24 hours, that would be fine. In a previous call with Dr. King's office, they asked me for my insurance. I told them I have Emblem and Blue Cross, and they told me to call them back when I can figure out which applies. I asked her if she were told the customer has these two insurances, would she tell them which one. She said, NO, the customer should know. Bottom line, since Dr. King's office has chosen not to see me, Dr. Lee will also not see me, regardless of who I am referred by. Dr. Lee may be the best there is, but his office will not even take my calls since they work hand in hand with Dr. King."
