Testimonials
"As a local physical therapist, my team and I refer patients to Dr. Anastasio and work with his patients throughout rehab. He consistently goes above and beyond for his patients and collaborating providers, even taking the time to visit our facility to coordinate care with the rehab team. His communication is excellent, his approach is patient-centered, and outcomes speak for themselves. Highly recommend!"
"Both the doctor and staff are pleasant and professional. Dr. Anastasio listens and understands my concerns and clearly provides answers and solutions for my consideration. Additionally, the staff, particularly Melinda and Cindy are a pleasure to deal with. The entire experience is exceptional."
"I went to a prominent hospital for eight years . My knees were killing me to the point steps and any exercise was painful. During those eight years, my X-rays were checked. I was told I could not be treated because they were not sure what was wrong. The X-rays did not show enough degeneration for treatment. I switched hospitals and was referred to Dr. Anastasio. We talked and he checked the X-rays. Then for the first time ever, he examined my knees. Surgery may be in my future, however I was given a painless injection and felt better than I have in a long time. He actually listened, did his own exam and did not talk down to me. He is knowledgeable and explained the problem and my options. Very thankful I found him. He provided better service in thirty minutes than I had in the past eight years. Words can no express my happiness!!"
"I have had pain in both hips for several years due to torn tendons in both. I had seen other orthopedic surgeons and was told there wasn't anything they could do and had gone through physical therapy and was still living in chronic pain. I went to Dr. Anastasio who recommended a procedure called Percutaneous Tenotomy in both hips. It has been a little over two months since I had the procedure done in both hips. The difference is amazing. I would say that as of this moment (two months after the procedure) I am seeing an 80% improvement and am finally back on the treadmill. Dr. Anastasio also drained a bakers cyst that had been extremely painful and that is now 100% pain free. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Anastasio."
"I had a percutaneous tenotomy due to an injury over 10 years to my right rotator cuff. Dr. Anastasio performed my procedure three months ago. As of today I have gained full range of motion and full strength of my right arm. I have no shoulder pain. The procedure was not painful and I highly recommend him to anyone who is experiencing the same of similar problems. He is an excellent doctor. In the future if I have to any other problems I will be returning to his practice."
"I was referred to Dr. A by another orthopedic specialist at Mercy, and I truly can't say enough good things about him. He is incredibly patient, kind, and takes the time to really listen and understand your concerns. He's also very responsive through the patient portal, which made communication so much easier. Dr. A identified a tear in my elbow and performed a PRP injection. He also went above and beyond navigating the frustrating and time-consuming paperwork from workers' comp, ensuring I got the treatment I needed. I'm extremely grateful for his expertise and dedication. Highly recommend!"
"My upper hamstring pain began approximately six years ago when I injured it while horseback riding. For a long time, I thought the injury would eventually heal and the pain would go away. It did not. Since then, I have not been able to sit without pain. Seeing a number of doctors, I have tried: 1) Physical Therapy; 2) Steroid Injections; 3) PRP injections; 4) Shock Wave Therapy; 5) Surgery; and 6) Dry Needle Treatments. None provided sustained relief. Finally, I found Dr. Anastasio who recommended tenotomy to address my continuing pain. I'm happy to report that after one treatment, my hamstring pain is much better."
"For a whole year I had significant hip pain that kept me from being active and it wore on me everyday. I tried pt for months, acupuncture, chiropractor, injections, supplements... you get it. Nothing helped. I went to four different orthopedics who looked at my MRI and only saw what was on the report: a little bursitis at the trochanter and gluteus med/ min strain, despite my asking if it could be tendinopathy or a tear. Exploratory surgery of my hip was mentioned as a final resort- I knew it wasn't exactly my hip, though. So, I researched doctors in Maryland who treat tendon issues and Dr.A's name came up. He took his time looking at my MRI, which did in fact show a tear and that my muscle was in atrophy. He said the percutaneous tenotomy was an option (also something I'd researched). So, in January, I had the procedure done. I'm about six weeks out and I have almost no pain. This has been life changing. I can't say enough about Dr. Anastasio. He took his time, listened to me (when no one else did), and he carefully looked over my MRI, seeing the tear when no one else could. I can't recommend him enough."
