Testimonials
"My dog was born with a genetic defect in her knees and in an attempt to avoid surgery (and the recovery) I reached out to Canine rehab. The program they put her on over a couple of weeks including support for at home changes...has changed her life and significantly improved her activity level...she is back to her puppy days before the arthritis kicked in. The vet has confirmed it has significantly improved her knees as well. Skye is an excellent therapist and my dog loved her (especially in the pool). We are grateful we found this facility."
" Public Warning / Review On October 23, 2023, my service dog Journey (then 13 months old) was mistreated and placed in danger at Canine Physical Rehab during a swim appointment. Journey had never worked with Becca before (who is now the current owner). Upon meeting him for the first time, she unhooked his leash in the lobby without my permission or following any of the usual safety protocols. Multiple safety gates and doors to the pool area were left open, and Journey--like most Goldens with a strong water drive--ran straight into the pool unsupervised. At that moment: * He was still wearing an electronic collar, putting him at risk. * No staff were in the pool room to ensure his safety. * He dove in unsupervised, which could have caused serious injury or drowning. Once in the pool, Becca ignored my repeated warnings that Journey required a toy in his mouth to prevent him from swallowing water (as his prior instructors had always done). Instead, she insisted he was "not swimming correctly" and began physically throwing him toward the pool stairs and table to force him into positions. Afterward, she told me Journey would be "punished" for running into the pool by being required to stand on equipment and watch the water instead of swimming for half his session--completely inappropriate and cruel. The results of this session: * Journey consumed so much water that he vomited repeatedly for over an hour afterward. * Our vet was concerned about possible dry drowning due to the excessive water intake. * The violent handling left him traumatized--and it traumatized us as his family to witness. When I voiced these concerns, the business dismissed them. Since then, they have also blocked me on all social media, preventing me from commenting and sharing what happened, which feels like an attempt to hide the truth. With Becca now the owner, I strongly warn other pet parents: this is not a safe place to bring your dog. Journey is a certified service and therapy dog, trained and experienced, yet he was still put at risk here. If this could happen to him, it could happen to anyone's dog. Your pet's safety and well-being are too important to risk."
"My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Canine Physical Rehab. The whole staff is so warm and friendly with our dog. They really make sure the pets feel "comfortable" with their experience so that it is not a negative or anxiety producing place for them to come. They take extra precautions so that each dog remains separate from other dogs and each has their own calming space and time. The water treadmill, incline treadmill and pool have been very beneficial to our dog. You can really tell that everyone that works there has a big heart for pets and wants the best for each of them. We travel almost an hour to get there and it is well worth it!"
"If you need someone who is as serious as you are about your dog's wellness and recovery, look no further, the staff here genuinely care about the cause and are extremely well trained. The facility is well kept and managed, I loved the pool area, they understand that dogs coming here have orthopedic issues and the deck is all wood with solid mats covering the walk way to the deck, absolutely no chance of your dog slipping over or finding hard to get up and walk. The equipments are modern and operated by professionals who know what they are doing! Highly recommend."
"Impossible to understate how strongly I recommend Carol and her team. I was a vet tech for many years and have been a manager of veterinary clinics. When my dog was paralyzed in a car accident, the research told me to come here and i couldn't be happier. My dogs progress has been nothing short of amazing and he is nearly walking, two months out from an accident that rendered him quadriplegic. Carol and her fabulously knowledgeable team are bringing Fizban back to his full glory!"
"After our puppy broke her leg and we found out she had severe hip displasia, our Orthopedic Surgeon recommended Canine Physical Rehab to help strengthen her hips and legs. The team here was amazing to work with, they clearly cared about my pup's health as much as we do. We appreciated getting a folder of exercises to work on in between our visits. We won't know for a few months (until puppy is a older) if we successfully avoided surgery for her hip displasia but we see she is much stronger, no longer stiff, and we can put her in full day of doggie day camp and know she can run around and play with other dogs without issue."
"I cannot say enough positive things of CPR. They are wonderful and they love your fur babies as much as you do. They helped me nurse one of St. Bernards back to health - they can now walk again. And my other St. Bernard, they alerted me to a possible health issue that numerous vets, tests and an US did not find. I will forever be thankful! Immense love to Carol and her staff!"
"Can't say enough good comments on this business. The staff are extremely professional, caring, and loving. My dog needed rehab and he is SO much better. Worth every penny!! Come for a visit."
