"I came to see Dr Mike about 5 years ago because a family member of mine recommended him. It was really hard to find good chiropractic care where I currently live so I thought I'd give him a shot, even though he was so far from me. I've had previous chiropractic work done, so I owe my life to chiropractors, including Dr Mike. I was in a bad go cart accident when I was young and had poor posture ever since. That turned into degenerative disk disease and osteoarthritis. I had so many neck spasms at one point that I practically lived off of ibuprofen and muscle relaxers. The last straw for me was a doctor telling me I need to have surgery at 27. I said there's got to be a better way. So by the time I reached Mike, I was in bad shape and regressing with all the previous progress I had made before I moved out of state. Dr Mike gave me super helpful advice on diet, supplements and made sure I was coming in every time for my adjustments. It took a while but I lost weight, my headaches were starting to disappear again and I was taking less and less medications. Yes my posture improved and I had less and less pain, but I have a history of depression and anxiety... if I go more than two weeks without an adjustment my anxiety is so so bad. Like Dr Mike says, everything is connected. He will help you get to the root cause of why/where you are experiencing pain and make a plan to work towards a goal of trying to get you to a better place. If I was still living in the western burbs, he would be my chiro for life. I am grateful to find one closer to my home in Indiana that's great as well.
