Dr. Wasik Ashraf

"Dr. Ashraf performed 2 successful surgeries on me in Orange Counry, NY. I initially would have given him a five star as I admired this surgeon. However, at my last visit and this is a couple years ago he knew that I would be coming back and when I went to make a follow up visit a couple months later, they informed me that he was no longer there And they told me that they had no idea where he went. I knew that this wasn't true because people don't just leave, and you have no idea where they have gone. I was quite upset that I received no letter from a surgeon that I had been going to for quite a few years for my rotator cuff and for my hip. So the woman on the phone sent me to a Doctor Who was a non-surgical doctor. The first appointment I sat in the exam room and waited 90 minutes for somebody to walk in. Very, very disappointing. My husband and I moved to Tennessee about six months later And I am seeing one of the top orthopedic surgeons in eastern Tennessee who is beyond incredible. I had seen another Orthopedic surgeon in NY when I was attacked by a dog and he moved to LI, NY. I remember that he had personally called me. He actually gave me his cell number as I had gone through two major surgeries to save my left pointer, finger and part of my hand. He told me to never hesitate to call him. When you have a relationship with a surgeon And an ongoing relationship, to just leave without notice is irresponsible and selfish. I do wish him well though."

"I met Dr. Ashraf at Concentra in Jersey City. I had dislocated my shoulder from a workout. His professional opinion differed from other Dr.s I had seen in that they thought I shouldn't have surgery unless my arm dislocated again. I prayed about it. I spoke with him tirelessly, did research and ultimately I decided on the procedure because I did not want to dislocate again. Dr. Ashraf was thorough, and reassured me at every visit. The nurses and other personnel at Englewood where I did my procedure were so helpful, friendly and professional. I felt at ease going into my procedure. 5 months later I feel solid. Life changing occurrence, but it's good to have a Dr. who explains things thoroughly."
