"Saw Dr. Lutton for a high-grade AC joint/ shoulder separation. I'd already seen two other shoulder specialists in the area -- one who does open AC reconstruction but not arthroscopic, and another who does arthroscopic but only addresses vertical (coracoclavicular) stability without the horizontal (acromioclavicular) component. Neither offered the full combined approach. Based on my visit, Dr. Lutton appears extremely well-versed in both CC and AC stabilization techniques for Grade III through Grade V shoulder separations, including constructs like the Arthrex TightRope, Dog Bone, and AC cerclage systems. He is highly experienced with advanced arthroscopic/ arthroscopic-assisted approaches. You may not find this on his website or public profile -- I learned it by asking directly. He spent 30-40 minutes one-on-one walking through every MRI slice and X-ray with a physical shoulder model in hand, did a thorough physical exam, and answered every question. Ultimately he recommended against surgery in my case and explained why. If you are looking for a shoulder specialist who intimately understands the current literature on combined CC + AC reconstruction, he's one of the best. One of the most thorough and professional physician visits I've had. Thank you!"
