Testimonials

Amond U.

"My wife recently underwent a very long and complex surgery at Suburban Hospital, and I am incredibly grateful for the level of care we received. The surgical team was exceptional, they took the time to explain the procedure in detail beforehand and kept me consistently updated throughout what turned into a 10+ hour surgery. That level of communication and transparency brought a great deal of comfort during an otherwise overwhelming experience. While the doctors were outstanding, I want to especially recognize the nurses, who truly are the backbone of patient care. Their compassion, attentiveness, and professionalism did not go unnoticed. In particular, PACU nurse April Velasco provided extraordinary care. She was not only kind and attentive, but also highly vigilant, quickly recognizing when something wasn't right and immediately notifying the medical team. That level of responsiveness and dedication made a meaningful difference in my wife's care and recovery. I plan to leave individual reviews for the physicians involved, but it was important to also acknowledge the full care team. We are sincerely thankful for everything they did for my wife and our family."

"Big shout out to Frank, the best IV Technician we have ever met. My wife has extremely hard to find veins, and he is an EXPERT!!! Dr. Parth Shah is the best emergency room doctor that we've ever had, here or at Baltimore main campus. He spent the time to read my wife's chart thoroughly and has an amazing bedside manner. He made us feel very comfortable and relieved a lot of anxiety in a very stressful situation. Once admitted, Dr. Jeffrey Bui was extremely through everyday and never rushed to leave the room until all questions were answered. The nurses on the 3rd floor are all extraordinary. Radhika, Beminet, Agnes, Colby, Jinsu, Marlisa, Janet etc etc etc and so was the case manager and charge nurses. Everyone came to check up on wife often, and gave her excellent treatment with great respect. Also a big thank you to Marta who did an excellent job cleaning our room, it was spotless everyday. The room service was excellent, and the food was delicious as well. The hospital has great security, and we always feel very safe. Suburban Hospital is 5 stars, thank you to everyone and to anyone we forgot to mention. Going to the hospital is terrible, but Suburban Hospital was wonderful."

"I was at this hospital back in April of 2025 and then again in September 2025. Coming in from Virginia, I had heard all good things. Overall I had a GREAT experience. From the room to the nurses to the food, everything was great. My reason for 3 stars is because during my first visit here I had a tube going from into nose and down my throat. As expected it was very uncomfortable to talk, swallow, etc. Some of the discomfort was to be expected but I also had pain on my face. The tube was so tightly adhered to my face that my nose was pushed up like Ms. Piggy. Myself and my husband complained to many staff and were repeatedly told that It couldn't be moved. During a visit from a GREAT wound care nurse, my husband complained again but this time it was because SHE TOO noticed its tightness. She made ONE phone call and someone came an adjusted the tube. Unfortunately, the damage was already done and I now had to have additional medical care to treat that pressure wound. I spoke with higher ups & their resolution was that they won't be charging me for the daily cream that was now a required application to help heal it. I understand scars after surgery but this one is ugly, dark and right in the middle of my face. It really bothers me when I look in the mirror because it could have been avoided if someone would have listened to me sooner."

"Recently my partner experienced chest pains (which was actually a heart attack) and we went to suburban. Everyone was fantastic, and easy to talk to, and my stay for support was easy and I felt extremely comfortable with the environment and staff. We probably have a few more days till discharge, but we are 100% happy with the service. My one and only complaint is the parking fee, the cost is trivial compared to the alternative of not having care at all, but a full day at $12 dollars seems advantageous in a bad situation."

"This has been a wonderful experience as emergency hospitals visits go.... The staff were great the whole time we were here. My husband checked in at 9 and by 11 he had bloodwork and imaging done. Then by 1 he was in a bed and waiting on a surgeon. His surgeon was on the ball, detail orientated and didn't miss a beat. They were cautious and caring. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again!"

"We thought we'd be there for hours and hours. Turned out it took about 20 mins to get into a room and another 30 to have the doc come in to diagnose. The staff were all friendly and helpful which made for a nice experience for my kid. Crossing fingers we won't have to return but if it's needed we have Suburban as top 5."

"Suburban ER is fantastic. It's always been our go-to if anything comes up for my kids (separate pediatric wing!). I had to visit recently, and the adult wing is just as great. Dr. Wilson and Nurse Kira took AMAZING care of me, and I am so grateful for them!"

"Now THIS hospital is a beacon of excellence. Everyone from the front desk to the parking attendants to the physicians are pleasant and experienced in their respective fields. You're safe when you come here, which isn't the case with some other hospitals. I've received top-notch care each time (except during one ER visit, RN was a little too jabby with the needle). It was placed it so deep the Physician noticed, but that's not enough to deter recommending or visiting in the future if needed."
