"We had a very disappointing experience with physical therapist Jenna L. at the Bloomingdale's location. My mother was referred to this PT clinic due to severe back pain that has affected her ability to walk. Unfortunately, Jenna L. did not provide the proper care or attention needed. She seemed uninterested, did not tailor the exercises to my mother's condition, and overall, her approach felt rushed and ineffective. Instead of helping, the sessions made my mother's pain worse, leaving us frustrated and feeling like we wasted our time. If you're looking for a compassionate and skilled physical therapist who actually listens and provides proper treatment, I would not recommend Jenna L. based on our experience. We expected professional care but received quite the opposite."

"Dr. Lupo did my mom's knee replacement revision surgery on May 4, 2023. The primary surgery was done in June of 2022. My mom has brought up concerns of instability, imbalance and pain to him at the follow up appointments. She's been going to him for about a year. He put in his notes that my mom had good ligaments and that the pain she was feeling wasn't related to the knee at all. We weren't convinced so we went to get a second opinion and now I'm being told there is a third surgery on the table for my moms knee and now her hip because her knee hardware shifts side to side. The instability caused imbalance, adding strain to her hip and lower back. As my mom and I brought up these concerns to him he became very rude and told us to go somewhere else. We did and that's where we found out that he may have done a lousy job and was trying to hide it. This was quickly discovered by the new doctor and he showed me what the issue was with her knee but he doesn't recommend surgery because I could lose my leg entirely below the knee. That's how an honest doctor makes recommendations to his patients. This should have been quickly discovered and corrected by Lupo and this could have been avoided. Instead I was walking around with a loose knee 1 year after revision surgery and my Dr. Lupo saw no issue. Doctors are supposed to have empathy for their patients. The more we went to see him, the more we began to lose hope."

"All the PT facilities are pretty booked full but I had a bad experience here after I was an established patient that was completely unnecessary. I tried to contact upper management outside of this facility but no one ever got back to me, just like rather than someone call me to set up more sessions after some approval that apparently comes from the management, the receptionist just took it upon herself to schedule me without so much as a courtesy call. What do old hurt people have to do anyway right ? I did not want a poor review to reflect poorly on my therapists, they were perfectly fine. However if you incurred a serious injury this is not the place to go. They have outdated and limited equipment for such a large facility. I looked down when I walked in both of the main rooms so I didn't trip over anything. There's no effort to disinfect equipment after use & I witnessed it everytime I was there. I used pullies directly (appears they only have one stationed set) after someone else. I used the armbike directly after someone else's hands as well. I should have brought my own disinfectant wipes in, the only thing offered here is on your way out - hand sanitizer. I had to wait for someone to finish on the bike before I could use the banister for my arm stretches, because in this great big facility the Bike (apparently only one) is positioned so close to the banister both can't be used at the same time. I was given a Cane and advanced to a weight wrapped around the cane (there are no exercise bars) in which one end of the velcro for this weight is worn away, it literally dangled above my face. I hope it never suddenly completely wears down and falls on someone's face. Shame on the good name of Northwestern that can't or won't invest in weight bars and upgraded equipment. There's a huge weight machine (I dont know the name of it)in the back exercise room. It's placed in the middle of the room against a divider wall, the legs to this machine sit about 3-4 feet wide apart requiring a person to step over the fat legs or walk around them when there's not other people in the way. There's a lot of Elderly hurt people here and sadly someone will eventually trip over this one. It should be in a corner alone but they have weight rack snuggled into a corner instead that no one would trip over if placed elsewhere. It's a poor set up and yes Covid isn't in excess now but it does still exist and even if it never did, I wouldn't want to use the same equipment someone I don't even know directly after them. Other PT facilities the therapists wipe off after a patience use, not here. I think someone may wipe the tables off, but with those at least your clothes are a barrier unlike hands. I'm very disappointed in this facility and would never recommend it. I'm glad they created a problem with scheduling more sessions for me because I found a much better establishment."

"I gave it two stars because the physical therapist is actually phenomenal, but their financial policies and disclosing how much things are going to cost is horrific. I finally stopped going because after 2-1/2 mos I STILL couldn't get straight answers about how much this was going to cost me. The bill finally came & I managed to rack up $3200 out of pocket For six visits ! Apparently it's almost $800/visit. Of course, you sign a waiver so you're committed, but they do not and cannot, and will not tell you how much things cost on the front end. They gave me a list of procedure codes that it COULD be, But nobody could tell me which of those applied to me - so buyer beware If you have a high deductible."
