I came in with significant pain, hoping for a real discussion about treatment options--including long-term solutions--but was only offered a steroid injection. I've since learned that these injections can cause more harm than good over time, potentially damaging cartilage and delaying necessary care. It's frustrating to feel like the approach was more about masking symptoms than solving the problem. Patients deserve to be told the full picture--not just handed a temporary fix.
