"It's 4 yrs since Dr. Delanois and his team did a re-revision from earlier that year on the same hip from another surgeon in Bethesda that does Ortho. His approach, is what you see is what you get! "HIGHEST praise for Dr. Delanois! This spring, Dr. Delanois did the shoulder replacement surgery for my elderly mom. She had severe bone-on-bone shoulder pain for several years. Unfortunately, PT's and other clinicians that she saw for unrelated issues convinced her that she should not seek out a shoulder replacement. Basically that she is too old and not in the condition needed to recover from the surgery. She REALLY regrets listening to them. While the recovery does require several lifestyle changes, those changes are temporary. She is very happy with the results and the recovery is not nearly as bad as she feared. Be careful of well-meaning people that do not have the knowledge they think they do, scaring you away from a life changing surgery. Dr. Delanois' office staff is very organized and cares deeply that his patients are well cared for throughout the entire process; from the initial consult, to the surgery scheduling and of course the surgery itself and recovery. And the team at Sinai was also wonderful in every department. I had total confidence in every staff member, including: the anesthesia team, the recovery room nurses, the nurses and tech that cared for her overnight and the exceptional occupational therapist. Also, we were told by another clinician to find an ortho that only does shoulder replacements. After this experience, we can say that was more ill-advised advice. As Dr. Delanois does several types of joint replacements, including shoulders. Highly recommend Dr. Delanois for various orthopedic issues. Very soon we will be scheduling shoulder replacement surgery for my mom's other shoulder. She cannot wait for her bone-on-bone pain to be in the rearview! And, almost a decade ago, Dr. Delanois did the hip replacement for my mom. She has been very happy with the results of that surgery as well."

"If you are searching for an orthopedist for shoulder surgery replacement, I highly recommend him. Dr. Delanois did my shoulder replacement after a long battle of dealing with getting my blood type correct from the Red Cross.Mostly he was patient with getting the clearance for my surgery from my hematologist. The surgery went well. He was professional, kind,caring, His team that assisted him was excellent as well. "I just met him and his P.A. and they was both wonderful and caring. I've been wasting years with the same Ortho telling me it's arthritis and you are only 44 yrs old(didnt care I was a softball catcher for 18 years). Dr. Delanois walked in and said "You should have been here 6 months ago and need surgery". Thank you Jesus for someone that listened. My pcp ordered my MRI and not only am I bone on bone but arthritis, AVN and old fracture that I've been limping on since August 2023. Surgery is next week for total hip."

"I am shocked to see negative reviews on Doc D. He is one of the most talented surgeons Ive met... and Ive met many. Ive known Doc D as far back as the 90's. He has reattached my left leg, replaced my right knee, and repaired both left and right shoulders. His candor and comedic demeanor apparently is misunderstood by some of the authors of these negative reviews.
