"My name is Alex and I'm a 28 year old former athlete. For the last 8 years Ive had crippling knee pain, progressing to the point of pain in every single step. Finally I gave into my doctors suggestion of surgery and 8 months of intense physical therapy, 3x a week with 2 hours a visit... Yay In came Nina, Jack, Nicole, Pete and a ton of others at Athletico with a mission. A mission that put me back on track to accomplish my running dreams. I walked into this year scared of the future, uncertain if this recovery journey would even work, so many question marks... but after only a month with these folks my outlook on the future changed completely. I was progressing physically each day, but more so I was progressing mentally. These ladies and gents taught me how to set long term goals and instilled in me the grit to reach them. It has felt amazing to walk into each visit to someone prepared, someone who obviously spent time beforehand studying and planning for that specific visit. It has felt amazing to have people who barely knew me, become my biggest advocates. When I say they care.. boy oh boy do they care. Nothing about PT is easy, but everything about PT at this Streeterville location is rewarding. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. If you want a place where you feel safe, feel listened to, and can learn to become that person you have been wanting to be.. this is the place you want to spend your recovery journey. "I went to Athletico for a problem with my knee. It took a few weeks but it's finally feeling much better. The office is very conveniently located in Streeterville. It is very clean, well- organized and has a friendly and accommodating staff. My personal therapist was Jack Ronan. Jack is extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. This was my first experience doing PT and Jack Ronan was an amazing PT coach- he was compassionate, thorough and very easy to follow. His instructions helped me alleviate pain/ become functional over the course of 1-2 months and I did not require surgery. He also was easy to work with while working with a busy work schedule and was always extremely accommodating in terms of re-scheduling appointments and would provide me with detailed home exercise guides. He has helped me realize the value of PT/ stretching in terms of injury prevention and rehab. I would highly recommend Jack and the Athletico team in general."
