"I visited with Dr Michael Fu on 9/16/25 for left shoulder rotator cuff calcific tendinitis and also a partial rotator cuff tear. This was for a second opinion. The first doctor that I saw wanted to immediately schedule surgery. Dr Fu reviewed my MRI and then put me through some tests to determine my left shoulder strength. Based on all the above he decided to send me for physical therapy. I went for p.t. from September to December and that helped me tremendously. I then discussed my case with Dr Fu and he decided to send me for a cortisone shot. Between the p.t. and the cortisone shot my left shoulder is 100%. Dr Fu took the time to review my case and took a conservative approach. Because of this I did not need surgery. I highly recommend Dr Fu for his skill and knowledge.
