Testimonials

Marlene Socarras

"I'm going back to Dr Witkin for a second procedure after a year of great relief! Dr. Witkin is amazing! Professional, understands my pain points and treats the area which relieves my pain greatly. Her staff is knowledgeable and courteous, the wait is minimal. I recommend Dr. Witkin"

Jenny Meyer

"Dr Witkin listened well during our first appointment. She gave clear and intelligent feedback, helping me to understand the issues that I presented. Her suggestions were also very helpful. The entire staff seems very efficient and thorough. Everyone was patient and very polite, as well! Thank you! Jeanette Meyer"

"Listens to a point but is very dismissive if she doesn't agree with you (even about your own experience). I've seen her now twice. Initial consultation was OK. I spent most of the time with the PA but it seemed like they communicated well. We did some imaging and tried out some medications. A thing that bothered me: I showed her a script for a muscle relaxer I'd been on previously that I know had helped. She dismissed me and gave me a script for a different one that didn't do much of anything for me. (Muscle relaxer was her idea and she asked me if I'd ever been on one. Why ask if you won't listen?) I ended up having to contact her btwn visits to change it, which to her credit she did. Follow Up visit was the most frustrating. We went over the MRI and x-ray she sent me for. X-ray came back normal but I showed her a previous one that had shown calcification. She admitted she didn't really know "what that was about" but that my main problem was my back not my hips. Insisted on doing a spine epidural that I had already refused at my previous appt, telling her that it was extremely painful. She told me point blank "there is no pain with that procedure, only pressure". Why the need to gaslight me and erase my pain? I've literally cried/screamed from the pain the last two times I had that done. I know what I know. I asked her for a referral to an ortho about my hips since she wouldn't address the situation properly, claiming epidural and physical therapy would be enough. This situation has been treated with these things for two yrs (by others). PT helps and epidural helped exactly once. She told me to ask my pcp for that (fair enough) but that "No one will offer you surgery for that". Orthos aren't only for surgery, let's start at least with a diagnosis for my hip pain which she refused to do. It's ok to admit you don't know what's going on but denying my pain won't make it disappear. It's sad when doctor's ego get in the way of decent medical care. Get curious, not defensive! Listen to your patients about their bodies and experiences."
