Testimonials
"I wasn't sure about going to PT - my shoulder was bothering me when I played tennis but not in the rest of my life. However, Rishabh and Jolibet at Ace were so kind and encouraging and fun that I was immediately eager to come back and sad when it was over. They really helped me with my strength, range of motion, and mechanics. No more pain when I play, feeling better than ever. Thanks so much!"
"I couldn't be more pleased with my experience witht the professional stsff at ACE Physical Therapy. Rishabh Sharma developed an effetive physical therapy regimen to help me recover after nasty bicycle accident in which sI eriously injured my hand. I made significant progress after only a few sessions. Rishabh is an attentive listener, extremely knowledgable, and motivating. I highly recommend him and ACE Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Institute. Arnold Chacon, Arlington, Virginia"
"I spent 6 weeks with the team at Ace rehabbing an IT band issue from running. I left with both improved feeling in my leg and an exercise regiment that will help to keep me from a return visit. Their friendly, fun, compassionate staff is attentive to your needs but also gives you the chance to step out on your own and work at your own pace. It is funny to say, but I look forward to never seeing them again!"
"I've been to several different PTs over the years, and at ACE I had the least amount of individualized attention. Sometimes it felt like I was just doing the exercises on my own. Manual therapy might have been a few minutes each session. The PT and PTA were both friendly and knowledgeable, but with sometimes 6 other patients at the same time, there's no way they can give you as much attention and advice. I've been to other practices where they had maybe 2 other patients at the same time, but here it was often more than that. For some people and some conditions that may work out just fine...and generally I think the sessions were helpful, just sharing my experience."
"The care that I received by Dr. Rishabh Sharma and staff was supportive and instantly helpful. My pain subsided on day one of my PT. I received effective treatment. Thank you!"
"a real treasure in this sports obsessed area- Rishabh Sharma, PT is a remarkable physical therapist- He is so welcoming, friendly, attentive and has a keen understanding of how to work with each client to improve his/her range of motion. I attended ACE in 2021 and now I am back with a fractured vertebrae. I was delighted to find that Rishabh Sharma, PT is still there. it has a fantastic location- close to the Orange line metro but also free parking! I feel like its a hidden gem- its so much better than the others I have tried. I am really"
"Highly recommend ACE to anyone who is seeking PT. Reshab Sharma is wonderful and has incredible healing powers in his hands. I came here after a muscle spasm in my lower back and left glute. This is my second week and I am already feeling quite a difference in my pain levels. Just following what Reshabh is telling me and I am really grateful for all he is doing."
"I loved the PT at Ace, Rishabh, as a human-- he was very kind and empathetic, going out of his way to help me get home from the clinic on an icy day when I was on crutches, or going out of his way when my insurance company was ever denying me visits. However, I don't want anyone else to ever be in my situation of poor rehab for a complex orthopedic case: If you are undergoing a major surgical procedure, with a complicated history, and need exceptional attention to detail and vigilance during your critical rehab period in your first months post op -- choose elsewhere. I've had 8 knee surgeries and have seen so many physical therapists over the years. Ace was one of the worst experiences, the most rushed and blase, too many patients in and out at a time, the PT expecting you to independently be doing your exercises with some tough love and harshness to get you to push through them (even if something hurts you) and some interjections here and there with form tips, but never fully taking the time to evaluate you or consider that there's something going wrong - often just pointing out that my recovery was taking me 2x longer than protocol b/c I've had other surgeries before. I understand my poor recovery and continued pain and disability over 2.5 years post ACL reconstruction and lateral release of patella is not entirely the PT's fault-- is also the fault of ACE for running their practice like they do -- herding patients in like cattle w/ only one PT and one PTA to oversee them all. There is minimal one on one time, minimal manual therapy even during critical windows when there should be -- big items overlooked at Ace: lots of scar tissue built up in the area where my graft for my ACL reconstruction was taken (hamstrings) and it caused faulty compensation mechanisms thus causing overuse and tendinosis in other muscles that needed more thorough attention and manual manipulation. I also had super tight IT band after a lateral patellar release that never got any attention, and patellar mobilizations were never done either. I also had arthrogenic muscle inhibition that made it so no matter how hard I tried to train my quads, months post op i still couldn't go down a few steps without my leg shaking -- which didn't resolve until a combination of dry needling, blood flow restriction and NMES introduced to me at a diff practice. Ace has you use this biomechanically idiotic foot sliding contraption for adduction strengthening, in which one foot is planted on the slider, putting too much pressure on menisci to make up for not being able to generate enough force from your adductors early post op -- I complained that the motion bothered me and was made to feel like I was being a wimp, so I pushed through it to then find out on an MRI thereafter that I had a new small tear in my medial meniscus of that knee, right where it had been bothering me during that exercise. Given that the PT's attention was spread in so many directions during other sessions, I intentionally avoided this exercise during some of my appts, and am so glad I listened to my own body so I didn't exacerbate the issue. Lastly, I had a high deductible insurance plan and was stunned to see how much they charge for ice (which is literally just scooped out of a cooler and tossed into a bag for you) ! I can't find my pic of the bill but recall it being something like $40+ per ice per knee so please ask for some bills up front (I remember getting an itemized packet of charges MONTHS later and wishing I'd known sooner so I could've just done at home) I acknowledge my probs post op were multi factorial from my surgeon to the PT protocol, to the reimbursement structure of in-network PT practices. However, I have experienced far better care since leaving Ace, with a combo of in network and out of network PTs. I implore you to keep searching for the right people and practices during your recovery journey and to steer clear of Ace unless you have a simple case and really just need the basic gym equipment and accountability to get your therapeutic exercises done."
