"I've been here a few times in the last few years or so--and just this past week for a shoulder injury--and I've never had a problem. For that reason, even though I live a little further out, I always come back here. I can usually book one of the first appointments of the day. Open lot parking is right there in front. You should plan on this appointment taking an hour or so overall for brief waiting time, initial greeting, X-ray, and seeing the doctor(s). The facility is one of the newer ones and looks clean. Come prepared with your notes (when/how injury happened) and questions. My impression is that the doctors are really helpful and they always send me out with a plan to follow. I have not tried the PT in this building, as I usually go closer to home. I felt like my latest visit was great as usual, so I still recommend Inova Sports Medicine in Fairfax. Thanks again!"
"I showed up with a fully torn Distal Bicep Tendon. As someone who loves to be active and train this could have been something life altering for me. From the moment I was in Dr. Giuliani's care I knew I was going to be fine. His staff helped with getting the right MRI request in, so we didn't have to wait 30 days. This surgery had to be done quickly otherwise this injury would have been permanent. He thoroughly explained the surgical procedure needed to repair this. He even had a conversation with me about the incision site and how we could avoid damaging my tattoos (as much as possible). Post surgery, he gave me realistic expectations on the healing process. He and his staff were incredibly supportive and worked with me on appointments with my busy schedule. I could not have been more pleased with the experience and I'm so grateful for the care I received at Inova Sport Medicine. I highly recommend it."
"Went to the clinic with knee pain to the point I could not walk unassisted. Was given an order for an MRI, and I asked to leave with crutches. Was told they didn't have any in my size. I'm 6'1, not 7'2. They said they would have some that afternoon and would call me. No call. At the end of the next day, I received a call that the crutches were in, and we could pick them up anytime. It was too late that day, so the day after my wife went to pick them up. No crutches. The person responsible was out sick, and they were in his car. So my wife had to drive to an entirely different place 25 minutes away just to get crutches that a competently run office should have had to begin with. This practice has outstanding doctors, and for that it gets two stars. The support staff is incompetent to the highest degree. If you're over 6' and you might need crutches, go someplace else."
"I am a medical technician. I injured my shoulder and had been having severe pain and difficulty using it for weeks. The office fit me into their schedule quickly, and I had barely sat down in the waiting room after checking in when they were ready to call me back. Everyone, from the doctor to the nurses and technicians, were very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. They answered my questions before I even knew what I needed to ask! I am currently recovering from my injury, and they are definitely where I will be going if I ever have a problem in the future."
"I was here to see Dr. Giuliani and I am very pleased with the visit. Getting here was tricky but I received directions and instructions when I scheduled my appointment. The scheduler also asked me to send in imaging reports (I recommend you bring reports and imaging so they are readily available) Since I try to arrive about 20-30 minutes ahead of time on first appointments in case more paperwork has to be filled, I did not wait but a few minutes before being called. I had my vitals checked, I was seen by the assistant, and then the doctor came to see me about my issue. Dr. Giuliani explained the issues and his recommendations. He was attentive and answered my questions so that I understood. He even drew a sketch to further explain a procedure."
"How did Dr. Najarian and his staff discharge my wife from their care with a gaping wound from the cast they gave her after her surgery? --- How did Dr. Najarian and his staff fail to address and treat the gaping wound they discovered? --- What about this wound concerned Dr. Najarian more than his accountability for his staff giving my wife a wound unrelated to the surgery? --- I ask myself these questions even now, and my wife still carries a scar she did not expect to receive from Inova Sports Medicine."
"I am a bit surprised by some of the negative reviews posted here. Perhaps it is the doctor the patient selected. I researched Dr. Giuliani's skill as a surgeon in my area of need before I reached out to this practice. Dr. Giuliani is first rate. He is knowledgeable, honest and direct; without being rude or cold. He told me that the key to my recovery (other than his wonderful surgery) is doing the work in the physical therapy. He was very honest about why there are bad outcomes with rotator cuff repairs when I asked him what I could do to stack the deck in my favor for a positive outcome. I had a rotator cuff repair surgery with Dr. Giuliani and my shoulder/arm feels brand new. And yes, I did the physical therapy and still do many of the arm work and exercises that I learned. What I also value about Dr. Giuliani is his orthopedic advice; even though he does not work on backs, I went to him to get advice on which doctor to go to and what I should look for in a good back doctor and experience. His recommendation was solid and the practice he recommended has helped me significantly. If your needs fall into Dr. Giuliani's area of expertise, I recommend that you schedule an appointment with him. Best wishes to all for speedy healing."
"This review is because, they make drive even though I told them I will be late, there were huge accident in 495. I called them and asked if I was ok to still have my appointment and they said "just come don't worry we understand that sometimes there is traffic in 495 " when I get there it was 20 minutes late and they said we have to reschedule your appointment. I was mad because they should have said it before when I called them. They make drive 1:20 from Stafford to Fairfax"
