Testimonials
"Dr. Yoon was fantastic. He explained everything about the procedures he was going to do and made sure I was comfortable. He asked questions to gather more information and talked about possible diagnoses. At the end he discussed the test results and his findings & final diagnosis. Dr. Yoon has a great bedside manner and does his best to put his patients well being and understanding at the forefront of his work."
"Dr M and Razel Barkley are the best! They haven't given up on me and I so appreciate them. So professional, friendly and always spend the time needed to answer all my questions. They make you feel like you are their only patient!l Also thanks to all of the staff in the Frederick Office! Top notch!"
"The provider made sure I left with steps to follow up with, including a referral where appropriate. She considered overlapping factors instead of rushing to one conclusion. The wait time was fair, though I recommend bringing any aid you need if sitting is impacted. I was not dismissed, which I have been so in the past. I think it's important when you are dealing with chronic pain to come in with reasonable expectations that healing is a process. Everyone was very professional and comfortable."
"I had the MOST TERRIBLE experience with this physician. She has absolutely NO empathy at ALL. She basically downplayed everything about my pain and just didn't seem to care. My PCP had put me on meds temporarily until I saw a pain management specialist to continue to prescribe the medication JUST until the nerve stimulator removed. She would not refill my primary doctor's medication....I'm not looking to stay on meds!!!! That's the whole point of me having my nerve stimulator (which hasn't worked unless I turn it on full blast on vibration!) removed....I fell and the battery moved out of place and feels against my spine and sometimes sticks OUT, which is creating the pain!! Before my fall almost 2 months ago, I was on very moderate and as needed medication, and had epidural steroid injections which worked GREAT! Walking, having outings with my family and living a "normal" life with moderate pain. I explained to her the severity of this current pain since my fall and that I'm literally bedridden, and cannot do regular things...even sitting in her office for the over 2 hours that I was in agony. I have surgery scheduled in a month and I have to endure the pain until my surgery. Only then will she give me medication...I will NOT be staying with this pain management doctor. I'll be discussing what I should do with my PCP regarding this situation, I feel very helpless and not sure what to do. "
"If you're looking for a quick high for your personal issue, keep looking. This place is extremely professional, from the welcome staff to their doctors. Been going there about six months so far, and I have never been more pain free. Been diabetic since I was 8 am now 67 the neuropathy I have is off the charts, but thanks to them, I'm pain free. They're six star in a five star universe. Most excellent."
"Dr Yoon has the best bedside manner of any healthcare professional I've ever encountered! He put me completely at ease, which helped me remain calm and comfortable during my procedure."
"Everyone is pretty nice. Curtis the tech was a crab at first, or so I THOUGHT. Then after spending a few minutes and letting him get his questions etc out of the way, he was very kind and explained everything before he did it which was nice when he is applying electric pulses. I really liked him. He is a Navy veteran. The dr was friendly, but not real gentle with the muscle probes. I would surely use them again though. I would ask for Curtis. He does a great job."
"I have to give the Via Disc procedure a 5 recommendation . I have gained flexibility and energy and lost pain and dread caused by scoliosis, stenosis and arthritis. I really didn't think it would work. Iso far I had 3 lumbar discs injected. My final procedure is next month. I am recommending this procedure to anyone who has limited disc depth. The people at the office are friendly, polite and capable. However, appointment times usually run behind, so be patient. For me, living with chronic pain is depressing and debilitating . I am grateful to share that I am experiencing profound pain relief. Thank you, Dr. Mkandawire, Dr. Simmons and Nurse Shelby for a job well done! I feel 20 years younger!"
