"Jeffrey Knox is pure evil. I was sent to him for an IMEI and was with him for 4.5 minutes. He never felt, touched, or even looked at my knees. He also never asked my pain level, or even looked at me, once. And yet his report says no swelling, no pain, and that I am totally fine and do not need anymore treatment. Except, I cannot walk down stairs, squat, kneel, sit, take public transit, lift heavy options, and just got approved for MRIs. He should be delicensed."

"I lived with horrible sciatica for nine years. When Dr. Knox agreed to see me, I was overjoyed. He correctly diagnosed my original misdiagnosis by another surgeon, and performed a laminotomy on my L4-5. For the first time since the onset of excruciating pain, I was completely pain-free. Dr Knox is one of the finest and most thorough neurosurgeons I have ever met."

"As an RN, I felt horribly victimized by the exam that i received from Dr. Knox. I was sent to him by Dane Street for a so called "independent" evaluation of an injury confirmed by MRI. During his exam, he instructed me to do some range of motions for measurements. I verbalized that it's painful. Despite the extreme pain, I initially complied with his instructions. He then asked me to repeat the movements. But, by then the pain was excruciating, I verbalized that to him. He still insisted, but the pain was too severe. So I refused to repeat the movements. Dr.Knox ended his exam by saying" I can not answer any medical question". In my opinion it was cruel to knowingly cause the kind of pain that I experienced, and continue to experience due to the exacerbation of my injury from his exam. As a result of his exam, I had to go back on stronger pain medication. Based on his actions, I believe Dr Knox is also unethical because he didn't document my pain in his findings. I have reported him to Dane street, and the Insurance company. No other patient, should have to endure this gross, callous mistreatment by this physician. Shame on Dane street for knowingly hiring a physician who until yesterday, had a rating of one star. Lastly, i have often observed many workers, in various settings that looked like wounded workers. Limping, appearing to be in noticable pain. In sympathy i used to wonder why? Why are you at work? It's not fair to the customer, your co-workers, or yourself. An injury that hasn't fully heal, is more prone to be re-injured. But, as I prepare myself to be among the working wounded, I fully understand why. It is because of the $4.5 billion "Independent Medical Exam" industry. No wonder there is an opioid crisis. No wonder there are soo many people addicted to pain killers. This system is broken. The insurance company, hires a company, who then strategically hires, Doctors to do an exam for the insurance company. It wreaks of biases. In order to eliminate the partiality, by which this industry functions, the solution would be to have insurance company pay the state board to choose INDEPENDENT medical examiner, instead of the IME Industry hired by the insurance companies. This solution would eliminate the gross partiality of this broken system; then maybe we wouldn't continue to add to the wounded workers."
