"Fantastic experience delivering at St. John's Hospital! The valets were super helpful! All Labor and Delivery and Postpartum staff were great; my nurses, the baby's nurses, the lactation consultant all were fantastic! They were knowledgeable, attentive, caring, and patient. Thank you to Marci, Alison, Lori, Karen, Myra and anyone else I missed. All of my questions and concerns were answered, and I never felt rushed or like an inconvenience for asking. I was checked on very regularly and was offered and provided everything I could possibly need to make my stay comfortable! I would not have chosen a different hospital for any reason! Special shout out to my OBGYN Dr. Alvarado for being super encouraging and caring during labor and to my anesthesiologist Dr. Landa. Without their skill and expertise I would not have delivered as quickly and easily as I did."

"DO NOT come here if you want a happy, memorable experience. This hospital still gives me nightmares! I gave birth here last month, and the night shift staff were incredibly rude and lacked compassion. For the majority of my stay, I was yelled at and glared at by the nurses. I am Hispanic and my husband is Black, and we were both shocked by the judgmental looks we received from the staff. It was clear that the White patients were treated with much more respect and care than we were. This was my first birth, and it was the worst experience imaginable. It was supposed to be a joyful milestone, but it wasn't. I ended up having a C-section because they claimed I wasn't dilating enough, but ladies, don't fall for that! They are compensated more for C-sections, and this hospital has a very high C-section rate. I was eager to give birth here because Yonkers is racially diverse, but I found the staff to be exclusionary and biased. My husband wasn't even allowed to record the birth; they called security on him even though we weren't told recording was prohibited. If I were you, I'd find a better hospital. Don't assume that just because a hospital is in a diverse city, the staff will be inclusive. These individuals bring their bad energy with them. Save yourself the trauma and go elsewhere." The only good thing was my baby boy being born safely and being healthy."

"I would give zero stars. The 7th floor is the worst. They leave you alone for hours. If you ask for help they dont respond. They take hours to get you anything. Want a soda wait 7 hrs. They dismiss your health concerns. They act as if they dont want to help you and your a burden. They dont have basic supplies. Comb, warm blankets. The food absolutely sucks. The worst i have ever had. Very bland and disgusting. The beds are old the tv are old. They leave chart and papers with patient information out in tbe open. They are condenscending and rude. They dont inform patient what is happening to their health. The towels sheets pillowcases blankets are rough to the touch. Not a good experience. Still waiting on that soda."
