"My fiance had surgery this past January for a full rotator cuff surgery. Dr. Ukomadu and his team were awesome. From the prep area to the surgery team. Just amazing. They were able to keep me informed throughout the time we walked into the hospital. Top notch Dr!"
"Over all, such a poor experience trying to sort out a wrist injury. My first visit was mainly with a physician's assistant instead of Doctor Ukomadu. This PA was actually surprised when I asked to see the doctor. Once Doctor Ukomadu came in, he just agreed with the PA, said I had tendinitis, and told me to do physical therapy. After four sessions of physical therapy, with pain still present, I return to Doctor Ukomadu and he asks me if I want an injection into my wrist. I ask for him to make a recommendation instead, given that he's the doctor. Witnessing an alarming degree of shrugs and uncertainty on his part, I took the care into my own hands and said I'd like to get an MRI. After what felt like a total lack of curiosity, care, and inquisitiveness from Doctor Ukomadu, an avalanche of prickliness from angry receptionists, an MRI that ended up inconclusive because of how blurry it was, I did what any rational person would do in my position: Go to Australia and seek medical care there, only to find out after a new MRI, that I don't have tendinitis but ligament tears. (By the way hat tip to Doctor Constantine Glezos in Sydney, Australia for spending quality time with me - You rock!) 2 stars though because while this may be the worst care I've ever received, Doctor Ukomadu does seem genuinely like a nice guy"
"Really knowledgeable and experienced, great bedside manner i.e. transparent, informative, positive but doesn't sugar coat. I just really appreciated having him take over my case after returning to NY following a 3-month hospitalization in FL. Once I was strong enough to travel home, everyone was very negative, predicting that no physician would be willing to take over another surgeon's work. They didn't know I am a woman of faith and a fighter! I made it home and landed in Dr. Ukumado's practice. I am thankful to him and to The Brooklyn Hospital for all they've done to help me."
