"I have had an identical experience with this same provider. I think he needs a mental health check. I have never had a ruder and more dismissive, lazy doctor in my entire life. He's appalling. Practically yelling at me when I asked him about soft tissue damage after a violent fall which chipped a piece off my radius. He has some kind of issues."

"This was the worst medical experience of my life! I am leaving the office in tears because Dr. Michael Rettig was so dismissive and rude. I do not feel my pain was taken seriously. I was referred for a possible fracture in my hand and wrist pain. He dismissed my explanation of what happened and rushed and cut me off as a was describing my pain. He kept trying to attribute my pain and limited mobility to my arm brace (given to me by urgent care) which frustrated me because I told him multiple times I was in pain with limited mobility BEFORE the arm brace. He then told me he was confused and nothing makes sense (probably because he didn't take time to listen to me) and doesn't know what's wrong. He then told me I needed to come back for an MRI which I thought I was there to receive based on my conversation with the referring doctor from NYU Langone Urgent Care. He then very rudely said "Idk who told you that." Shrugged his shoulders, handed me his card and left. I'm extremely sad and disappointed in this experience. So much so that I do not plan to follow up for the MRI. I'd rather take my chances elsewhere than visit this office ever again."
