"Derek St. Thomas is a gift to those of us who suffer from chronic pain. My mentor told me about him as I have what I would consider severe sciatica (affecting my ability to stand up straight, walk, etc.). Since seeing Dr. St. Thomas (and doing other things as well, including strength training and acupuncture), my pain has subsided significantly. I saw him for five sessions straight where he did Graston and shock wave therapy on me. At the end of each session, he'd tape me up and give me some PT exercises to do at home. Though I still have pain, it's not nearly as debilitating as it has been before (it's probably gone from a 8-9 on the worst days to 4-5 and even sometimes a 2-3!). Dr. St. Thomas is also full of research knowledge--the guy loves research on the fascia, in particular, which gets a big thumbs up from my partner who is a Feldenkrais practitioner. I can't tell you how much relief I've gotten, and I'm planning to go in for more sessions in a month or two."
