"I had an excellent experience with Doctor Philllips. He was attentive and took the time to explain everything in detail. All of my questions were answered patiently, without ever feeling rushed. This level of care is rare and truly appreciated. I left feeling informed, reassured, and well cared for. Highly recommend."

"This is a good office if you know you need a PT referral, pain-med prescriptions, or an ESI for your spine issues. I got two ESIs - one with Dr. Thakral and one with Dr. Desai. Unfortunately for me, ESIs haven't been helpful (for my herniated lumbar disc), but PT has been gradually improving the symptoms, and I have been seeing a neurosurgeon to consult for a potential surgical intervention should that be needed. Other than that, my experience with this office hasn't been great. I have been exchanging emails and phone calls with this office for several weeks now with a simple request -- to upload an updated PT order (that they created) on my insurance company's provider portal - due to insurance denying a last few of my PT provider's claims in 2025. But, communication with them (phone and email) has been very challenging."

"I recently visited this clinic and initially had a positive impression. The physician assistant was kind and took the time to listen to my symptoms, which were mainly related to back pain. However, when I went to physical therapy and radiology, I was surprised to learn that all the orders were written for the neck only and did not include anything related to the back. To clarify the issue, I contacted the International Spine Pain and Performance Center. Unfortunately, the representative who answered the phone was unprofessional and showed no willingness to help. When I explained that the imaging center informed me that my order was only for the neck, he insisted that "the neck and the back are the same," which is incorrect. He also claimed that the imaging staff "don't understand their work," even though I received the same information from two different centers. This suggests the problem is not with the imaging facilities but with the clinic's own order process. Because of this confusion, I asked to cancel my upcoming appointment, as I cannot proceed without the proper back CT order. The cancellation was handled carelessly, and the call ended abruptly. Based on my experience, this clinic may issue incorrect or unrelated orders, which leads to wasted time, unnecessary expenses, and frustration for patients. For these reasons, I cannot recommend this clinic, as I did not find the level of professionalism or reliability that a patient should expect."

"I should have mentioned in my first review that the staff is phenomenal. They answer their phones and try to help you with the best they can. Also, in addition to Dr. Desai, he is incredibly patient and professional, he explains everything giving you alternatives in treatments. Again, he is wonderful and so is his staff"

"Mehul Desai MD is one of the smartest, most thoughtful physicians I know--he has been very helpful in assessing problems for my patients and for me personally--since he is not a surgeon himself, he is a terrific resource for people attempting to determine the best approach to joint problems. His staff is helpful and amiable, and the office runs smoothly."

"Considerate and extremely informative. Provided sufficient time with me in a non-hurried manner. Helped me better understand other minimally invasive procedures, pros & cons and way-ahead to address chronic lower back pain beyond the current ablations and injections. As an informed patient I read his bio to better understand his approach to pain management and rehabilitation and I am grateful to be under his care."

"I have been seeing Dr. Desai for a few years now for back pain. He is personable, friendly, excellent bed side manner, logical, honest, compassionate. He is not afraid to run diagnostics when necessary. He is the one always the one who does the injections unless he is training a fellowship and then he is instructing (honestly couldn't learn from someone better) His practice is NOT like an assembly line practice. His staff is friendly and I always look forward to seeing them. A great doctor, which is hard to find these days."

"I was concerned about pain during the injection. I felt nothing! And it was over. Once again he rocks! Knowledge unparalleled and manner the best."
