"I recently had my first lumbar sacral ablation, and I could not be happier with the result. Dr Sameer Shah is an excellent clinician and technically ahead of many of his peers. The procedure was safely, done under local in a same day surgery area. Care was excellent at Swedish hospital. They have an outstanding nursing staff. I am a senior with arthritis in my back, and I was leary about an ablation. I would highly recommend Dr Shah for any care for pain control. "Dr. Shah and his team were outstanding to work with to correct an injury I sustained to my lower back. I was referred to Dr. Shah by my physical therapist. I was struggling with significant pain from an injury that occurred while working out. I'm in my early 30s and was devastated that this could be a lingering issue for the balance of my life. Within moments of meeting Dr. Shah, he identified that it was as much a joint injury as it was a disc injury. "I have 4 herniated disks. The pain, at times, can be very excruciating. At times, I experienced pinching and debilitating pain that had would shoot down my backside and legs. Even sitting or laying down offered no relief. Since I have received treatments from Dr Shah the pain has subsided exponentially. In addition, my back is so much more relaxed. The stiffness is mostly abated allowing for greater movement. I have not needed pain medication for my back since the radio frequency ablation procedure."
