"I have attended two courses at the Kahan Center. Dr. Kahan has been an amazing teacher. I have been able to gain a lot of insightful tips and tricks to help improve my injection technique. What sets his course apart is that you don't feel rushed. His courses are kept to small groups which allows you to spend an ample amount of time practicing. Dr. Kahan will spend as much time as you need to feel comfortable and confident in performing the injections. I highly recommend his courses to anyone with an interest in gaining further knowledge in interventional pain management. Thanks Dr. Kahan!"
"I have been a patient of Dr. Kahan's for many years, being treated for chronic back pain after 2 spinal fusion surgeries. We have tried every modality out there to try to minimize and manage my back pain as well as my sciatica. The nerve damage starts in my lower back and ends at my toes, so I have had a neurostimulator implanted which helps tremendously. And just recently, I had the Viadisc procedure done in the hope that it would alleviate my back pain, and what a difference 3 months have made! I wasn't sure it would work immediately after the procedure, because I was pretty uncomfortable for the first 3-4 weeks post-op. But after about 4-6 weeks, I realized one morning that my back didn't hurt! Since then, and for the most part, my back pain is so much better, except when it is really cold or really damp outside. I am amazed and pleased at how well I am doing with respect to my lower back after the procedure. There are times I even forget I have pain, and that is success as far as I am concerned I would definitely recommend having the Viadisc procedure if Dr. Kahan thinks you are a good candidate. Go through Dr. Kahan's office if you would like to discuss with me further. And if you are looking for a pain management specialist, I strongly recommend Dr. Kahan and his entire team - Dr. Kahan listens to you, and will make recommendations he feels would be most suitable to your condition. Kim Fern, PA-C is great, and the entire staff does everything possible to work with you to arrange appointments, schedule procedures and make sure you have completed all paperwork whenever necessary. If you have chronic pain, I strongly recommend you contact the Kahan Center for Pain Management."
"I attended Dr. Kahan's advanced radiofrequency ablation course and would highly recommend this course. It's very hands-on, and with the small volume, I was able to work on the things I needed and never felt rushed. There is no doubt that Dr. Kahan is a highly skilled and experienced proceduralist. More relevant perhaps to this course is that Dr. Kahan is an outstanding teacher and takes the time to answer questions and personalize the content to meet the individual candidate's goals. Attending this course will ensure you feel comfortable and confident in performing these procedures."
"I had been seeing Dr Kahane for about two years. I have a degenerative bone condition in my back and hips. I have previously had three visits with the resulting two times Cortizone injections in my back and both hips after about a year my back and hips started to hurt again so I went in for an appointment with the doctor and he said to go ahead and get some imaging done, you would think that after a history with this doctor when I went from my medical imaging they would know what to scan. On this visit, I told him both my hips and my back hurt just like the last two times I saw him. I only got an imaging done of my lumbar not both of my hips. I have trouble walking and I live an hour away But the only way I can correct this problem that was actually the doctors fault is to make an appointment to go tell him this. The doctor is not that bad, but the communication is awful If you want to avoid major hassles with your Experience with Kahan don't go find someone else"
"I have seen Dr Kahan , for many years! I have a very crooked spine, so the treatment I receive is a delicate process! Dr Kahan is the only doctor I trust to treat my pain level! Kimberly Fern, his PA. I trust her completely! They are a good team, in working together for the patient's benefit. I might also add the office staff is always pleasant and willing to assist with my needs!"
"Dr. Kahan & Kim Fern are the absolute best! I have had neck pain, back pain, knee pain, and a few other pains, and they take care of it all!"
"The course was excellent. It was comprehensive and provided terrific didactic and hands on instruction. Dr. Kahan is an outstanding teacher. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn lumbar injection techniques."
"I would have to concur with others who gave a poor review. This doctor is loud, does not listen, does not prepare, very rigid, and worst of all horribly arrogant. When I tried to tell him what my doctor was asking for and that there were orders there, he told me he went to medical school too. If I were you reading this review, I would avoid this practice."
