"Do you believe in "love at first sight"?! Today I experienced love at first touch! In the interest of full disclosure, I'm a bit of a massage snob. I love a good deep tissue massage & have been on the search for a good local therapist. My "go to" is often booked very far in advance and I tend to book on more short lead times, so I have a tough time getting in to see her. I wanted to try to find someone else that might have a little more availability for my short notice appointments. So, I read about all the therapists at Alexandria Massage Therapy and quickly selected the one I thought would fit the bill for my needs. I usually know from the moment the therapist first begins, whether it's going to be good or not. I've had plenty of massages where I just needed to appreciate the downtime, because the massage wasn't strong enough. Not the case today! I even hesitate to share a review because I don't want everyone to schedule an appt and make it hard to get in to see her again!! But ~ she deserves recognition for giving the best massage I think I've ever had! Che, thank you for living up to your bio & for such an amazing deep tissue experience. I'll be back!"

"Had my first ever massage here and I loved it. After going through excruciating military training my legs have been feeling awful and I had the 45 min leg massage with Maggie and she was amazing. It was very easy to go on the website and find the right time for bookings. Maggie did an intensive massage on my legs and I felt much better when I left, she knew exactly what to do for what I was feeling. The room was lovely too and I felt completely comfortable going through the whole process despite it being my first ever massage at a spa. Would highly recommend it again if you're feeling very sore!"

"This place caters to females, not males, and if you are a male you will be treated like a second- third- or even fourth-class citizen and your time will not be a priority. I have been going to AMT for more than seven years. At first, I was willing to overlook that AMT was in a dingy townhouse since the Massage Therapist was good and the treatment helped. I always had the impression, though, that the therapist never really wanted me as a client I recently went back to AMT and was inspired by its new location. However, the therapist was still quirky and very abrupt and abrasive. I put up with it because she is a very good therapist. I decided to try to set a consistent time with the therapist and I asked for 10:00 am on a Friday. I made the appointment for that time and placed it on my calendar. I arrived at that time the following week, only to find that AMT had subsequently scheduled a female in that time slot. Instead of arguing, I just asked if I could just have another appointment for the same day at 12 and AMT accommodated. I arrived a little bit before 12 and the appointment didn't start until about 1215-1220. At 1:05, the therapist booted me out of the massage because her "other client is here." As I am leaving, I notice that the other client is a female. AMT then had the guts to ask me to pay for the entire 60-minute massage but its computers were down so it expected me to call later that day to pay the full cost. I had had enough. Dingy townhouse, quirky abrasive therapist, incompetent front office staff, and then discriminatory treatment based on my gender I've just had enough. This place caters to the females. If you are male find another place to spend your hard-earned money or, go to AMT and get treated like garbage. Or you could be a fool like me be a repeat customer who repeatedly was treated like garbage."

"I immediately scheduled a 90 minute appointment after my very first experience. I have had my fair share of massages all over the world throughout my travels... and this may have taken 1st place. My friend got me a gift certificate for my birthday to Alexandria Massage Therapy. I didn't schedule my experience until months later (Which I'm pretty upset with myself over, because now I missed out on months of an incredible experience). My session was scheduled with Charlotte who was more than incredible. I did not know what to expect, except I walked out of there with not only less pain in my shoulders, but with the ability to rotate them more after only finding out on that table that my rotation in my shoulders were limited. Charlotte was not only kind and communicated throughout my session, but had the ability to correct movement in my body that I didn't even know I needed corrected. Needless to say, I'll be back asap and planning to visit the area more for more sessions... wonderful establishment, amazing experience, and would highly recommend!"

"Yesterday was my first time at AMT. I received a full body massage by Reyna and I must say, it was splendid! As my massage therapist, Reyna made me feel very relaxed and asked me questions to understand how she could serve me best. There was no wait time, I was seen at the time of my appointment. There was also free street parking available in the neighborhood across the street. River (the receptionist) was also very accommodating and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you are in need of a massage. Will definitely be going back!"

"I had my first ever prenatal massage with Reyna because I was experiencing some hip and back pain. She did such an amazing job! The pain completely went away! Since then, I have been to Reyna two more times and each time is the same wonderful experience. I leave feeling so relaxed and my body feels dramatically better! As someone who has had countless massages in the past, I highly recommend Reyna and Alexandria massage. The facility is clean and relaxing. Reyna used a combination of hot stones and cupping with me which made such a difference.
