"There are no words for how exceptional the quality of care is at AHC. But I'll do my best! Practitioners listen and offer focused and nuanced attention to areas of discomfort. I tend to come twice a month (from Memphis--no less); and I've seen almost every acupuncturist there! In fact, the variety is quite joyful. The quirky, youthful, eclectic personalities and non-traditional approach a very traditional practice seem to add to, not subtract from, the exceptional attention I receive for my many ailments as a lady of a certain age. I am so grateful for them all. I also LOVE stopping by the herbal store next door to get my teas, incense, and herbal supplements. This tattooed, hippie, queer friendly, non-conformist motley crew of healers was the healthcare squad I didn't know I needed!"

"What went well: The front desk was very nice and helpful. They helped adding all the information my HRA needed to the receipt and they were flexible to move my appointment to 15 min later when I got stuck in snow! 10/10 customer service at the front desk. What went wrong and why I won't return back to this place and absolutely do not recommend it to anyone: My appointment was with Dr. JR Heiz. He asked what brought me there and I explained about how my back pain has been bothering me and impacting my posture. He felt my pulses on both hands and said he is going to put needles on my belly instead of my back. He made some inappropriate comments as he was putting the needles in that got me seriously concerned about his intentions! I have gone to acupuncture therapy many many times in multiple countries and cities in and outside of US due to my chronic back pain over the years. I have never had anyone putting needles on my belly for my back pain, but I was telling myself that maybe he has a unique technique that might work even better! He put needles all over my stomach and left the room for 30 min. After 30 min, somebody else came in and removed the needles and said I am done! Sorry what??!!!! Why they sent somebody that I never talked to before into the room to remove the needles that somebody else put in??? I had so many questions at that point and I couldn't feel any difference after the acupuncture, but honestly I was happy to leave the place as quickly as possible , so I immediately got up and went to the front desk to check out! Dr. JR Heiz decided to show up as I was paying and asked how was feeling. I told him I didn't feel any difference and he recommended taking a bath I always got some level of instant relief after each acupuncture sessions I had. That's why I love acupuncture. I realize I made a mistake coming to this place when I felt ABSOLUTELY NO RELIEF after my weird session! It's very sad because my initial booking and check in experience was amazing and I really wanted this place to be my new go-to :-("
