"Dr. Markowicz was communicative, clear, kind, and understanding from the moment he stepped into the office, to the day of surgery, and during all follow-ups. He even chose to perform the hip surgery using the more time-intensive posterior access method, which meant he "lost" money as he could have completed two anterior procedures in the same timeframe. He made this decision because my weight increased the risk of infection for me. Other doctors I consulted were flat out rude to me about my weight and failed to explain that increased weight correlated with a 1% increase in infection risk, refusing to perform the surgery the posterior way. Dr. Markowicz, however, patiently took the time to explain the rationale and his surgical approach to me."
"If you'd like to get your surgeon on the phone, post-op, don't use Dr. Markowitz. We've been waiting over a week for a returned call (which he promised) after he ordered an MRI on my mom, for pain post-hip replacement. We've called several times to no avail. This is unfortunately not the first time he hasn't delivered."
