"To Dr. Gasalberti, I want you to know that you are an excellent Dr. and the one star rating is not about you. 3 years ago you had greatly helped my husband as a patient and we were so happy with you after you had injected his back 9 times then personally sent him to Dr Alexander De Moura who has since done neck surgery on him and referred him to Dr Peter Passius who operated on his back. Without you none of this would have been possible. I am very grateful to you. The reason I write this is because I greatly needed help and of course was in need of a great Dr and Physical therapy and possible injections for myself. I had an appointment for your office. I got the referral from my Dr. Unfortunately from the start your secretary was extremely rude to me. This was on each call. My insurance just requires a referral. When I told her it said evaluation she swiftly said my appointment was canceled. I could have easily fixed this with one call to my Dr. However on every interaction with her she gave me a reason why my appointment won't be taken. She was rude in every way. Not even giving me a chance to correct it. and informed me she will not call my Dr. I felt so uncomfortable because of her that instead of saying I can fix this and making one easy call, because she had a problem with a word. She wanted the word consultation, I decided as much as I wanted to see you I can't. go somewhere and have someone who has made me feel so uncomfortable and disrespected. I called my insurance company as I informed her and they stated as long as I have a Drs referral the wording doesn't matter. Still I would have happily fixed it had she not been so rude . She also made some off handed remarks about the type of insurance I have, and if that is the the case then perhaps the rudeness was intentional and that is by far worse to give me every reason, which she did to cancel my appointment. If you aren't aware of these things that go on in your office, or how potential patients are treated or how it costs you patients, this is how it happens.Again I thank you so much for helping my husband so much. And anyone reading this Dr Richard Gasalberti is a very fine Dr."
