Testimonials
"Top-shelf care that makes you feel like family! My orthopedic PA recommended Annapolis Family Physical Therapy, and I am so glad she did. From the first moment I walked in until my very last appointment, the experience was wonderful. What sets them apart is their attention to detail. The DPTs, PTAs, and Aides don't just treat your symptoms; they listen and monitor your progress constantly. They even suggested exercises for secondary issues they noticed that weren't even my primary reason for visiting! I was particularly impressed by their honesty. When I saw their orthotic DPT for a specific issue, I expected a high-pressure sales pitch. Instead, she authentically cared about my recovery--recommending over-the-counter inserts and a specific pair of shoes from a local running store first to see how I progressed. The reception staff is excellent, and the atmosphere is so welcoming; everyone has time to chat and genuinely cares about your life. You aren't just a number on a waiting list here. If you need PT, this is the place to go!"
"As a disabled veteran who recently moved to Annapolis to be closer to my Navy brothers, finding the right physical therapy provider was crucial for me. After extensive research, I chose Annapolis Family Physical Therapy, particularly drawn to a therapist named Angela. My first visit was encouraging--Angela demonstrated a strong understanding of the trauma I've experienced in my lower extremities and back. She even shared her own experiences with similar injuries, which made me feel confident that I was in the right hands. However, my experience took a sharp turn during my second visit. To my surprise, I was greeted by a completely different therapist, a male who I had not chosen to work with. When I inquired about Angela, I was told she was in another room, and that I would be seeing whoever was available that day. This lack of consistency and disregard for my specialized needs was extremely frustrating. It became clear that this practice operates more like a revolving door than a personalized care provider. Patients are shuffled around like numbers, with no consideration for the continuity of care, which is vital for someone with complex conditions like mine. This assembly-line approach is not just unprofessional--it's dangerous for those of us who require tailored, attentive care. In my opinion, this practice prioritizes profit over patient well-being, offering impersonal, and frankly, careless treatment. If you are looking for dedicated, consistent care, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Btw the receptionist, Maureen? On aug 26 @ around 830 was extremely rude, she had some txting to do on her phone that I interrupted, she also admitted that they never told me I would not have the same provider ( bait and switch) and that's that just how the owner wants the practice. Terrible place, doesn't belong in our community."
"Annapolis Family PT is the friendliest, most helpful place, from Maureen and Janice on the front desk, to the entry interview with Joann, and the personable trainers, all warm, knowledgable, and encouraging. If I have a change in schedule, they work it out smoothly. I have made great progress here, and I'm sure that that has as much to do with the atmosphere and the staff as with the machines and exercises. Everyone is always upbeat and cheerful, and at the same time understanding of wherever I am that day. I felt at home right away, and have had nothing but good experiences in the two months I've been working out here. I highly recommend Annapolis Family PT. I'm stronger and happier doing what I need to do every day as a result of coming here. It's clean, interesting, & effective, with the nicest people you'll ever meet. Come and see! I'm glad I did."
"DRIVING DIRECTIONS: There is a fence that separates this place from the dunkin donuts that does not show up on Google maps. Riva road also has barriers that will not allow a left turn into here. You need to approach on Riva and turn R when you see the building, first time. Do not go past or you are screwed and have a very long detour to get back around. might as well go home."
"After waiting almost two months to be seen for vestibular PT for vertigo, they called me less than 24 hours before my scheduled appointment to tell me that they actually stopped taking my insurance some weeks ago (!) due to some sort of issue with the insurance company (unclear exactly what that issue was, as I was told two slightly different things between the voicemail and phone call) so I would have to pay out of pocket. Super frustrating to be told at the very last minute after patiently waiting for a long time to be seen, though I do recognize that my insurance's issues were the cause, and I appreciate the office letting me cancel without any sort of fee. This has left me scrambling to find a new place to be treated for my vertigo, hopefully with less of a wait time to address my symptoms. It's a bummer because I had very pleasant interactions with the staff and was looking forward to the appointment based on all of the positive reviews. Hopefully in the future they will improve their communication to avoid this type of situation with other patients who are in need of PT."
"Annapolis Family Physical Therapy has guided and helped me to achieve a stable and useable shoulder. Starting before the rotator cuff surgery then after the surgery. The knowledgeable and dedicated staff developed and guided me through the rehabilitation program, constantly tweaking and advancing it to make sure I was getting the best results in my recovery. Advice on making sure the home exercise routine was right for my progress was an essential benefit to my recovery. At the end of the program, I leave with a good plan to continue rest of the rehabilitation. From the time you walk in to the reception desk staff, you know the Annapolis Family Physical Therapy Team is there to get the best results for your condition. Thanks to all of you!"
"I have just completed 10 weeks of therapy for rotator cuff shoulder injuries at the Riva site with Kelly & Courtney & all their terrific staff. I am a retired physician. My care was wonderful. They worked closely with me to develop a plan of treatment & helped me to stay on track. Now I am 90% better and have a plan to continue working at home until the problem is gone. I am tremendously grateful to Annapolis Family Physical Therapy."
"I have been in physical therapy for back, hip, and foot problems for over 15 years. The people here are the most compassionate, friendly, caring people I have ever encountered. On top of that, the staff is totally knowledgeable plus their facility is fully equipped with every apparatus needed to give the patients the best chance for success"
