"Today marks 10 weeks since my 2nd total knee replacement surgery, and one week since successfully completing my outpatient physical therapy with Esterson and Associates Physical Therapy. After browsing the Staff bios, I decided to use Esterson because 5 of their 6 Physical Therapists have Doctors degrees in Physical Therapy. I couldn't be happier in my choice. Dr. Kelly Shea was my Physical Therapist, and she was nothing short of excellent, based on my recovery results. After initially evaluating me, Kelly spent a significant amount of time employing hands-on therapy to loosen and relax my quad muscle, and to help me to fully straighten my knee. In addition, she coached me through progressively difficult exercises to strengthen the knee, to improve balance, and other daily lifestyle tasks like negotiating stairs and sitting in and rising from a chair. In addition to my twice-weekly outpatient Physical Therapy sessions, I was given a twice-daily home exercise routine to follow. My results? I can now negotiate stairs, up or down, without clamping the handrail in a death-grip. And I'm regularly walking progressively longer distances (currently 3 miles) at a pace quicker than 24 minutes-per-mile (2-1/2 miles per hour). Sure, a lot of that is on me for faithfully following the exercise routine, but I couldn't have done it without Kelly's skills and coaching! Thanks, Esterson, and (especially) thanks, Kelly! You guys rate 5* across-the-board from me!"
"I recently received Physical Therapy at Dr. Samuel Epsterson, Physcial Therapist, 2 West Rolling Crossroads, Suite 102, Catonsville, MD My experience from making the initial phone call to schedule an appointment was great. I didn't have to wait long to get an appointment. The experience and treatment I received from Dr. Kelly Shea, Physical Therapist (PT), was 100% she is the best PT, I've ever work with. Dr. Kelly Shea, is very professionalism, knowledgeable, friendly, patience, motivational and empathetic. On the initial consultation, she customized plan for me and I'm doing much better. I knew she was the one to set me on my recovery journey. Dr. Kelly Shea, explained every step of the process and ensured I was comfortable and confident with the exercises. Ms. Victoria, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) also very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, patience, motivational and very empathetic. I also loved the fact that when I was having hot flashes, how they provided me with Ice pack. IYKYK. Thank you all so much for your dedication to help others feel a little relief."
"Dr Jamin Parezo continues to accomplish the impossible! My entire lumbar area, and both knees are a complete mess. I've have 3 discectomies/laminectomies and Jamin has been helping me avoid a 4-level fusion for 9 years and counting! I have returned to Esterson 4 times over the past 15 years for back and knee injuries and can't imagine ever going elsewhere. Jamin is incredibly knowledgeable and my issues are complex. I annoyingly badger him with questions and he is always so kind and patient, but most importantly, has the knowledge to help me reduce pain, increase mobility, and regain control of my body and independence! Because of my experiences with Esterson and Assoc, my husband is a recurring patient as well. I highly recommend this amazing team!"
"I absolutely love Esterson Physical Therapy! Nelson was my therapist and he has excellent attention to detail. During each session he would ask questions about my pain level and what I was experiencing. All in an effort to pinpoint what could be causing my current issue so he could work on the area to relieve it. He was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. I came in feeling horrible from a pinched nerve in my neck and within 8 weeks I was a new person. In addition to having a great Therapist, I also had great Techs to work with on my exercises. Jasmin was excellent at explaining the exercises and making sure I did them correctly! Maddy was also very helpful and assisted me when Jasmin was assigned to another Therapist. Lastly, the entire staff is super kind and easy to work with from the moment you walk in the door. Not to mention the Techs always have great music playing."
"I highly recommend Esterson Physical Therapy. I worked with Dr. Nicole Shires and was so impressed with very aspect of my experience. Nicole specializes in women's health and pelvic floor therapy - a much needed but harder to find area of PT. I cannot say enough about how comfortable she made me feel and the high level of professionalism with which I was treated! She actively listened to me and went above and beyond to meet my needs. I am a recovering spinal cord injury patient and her broad knowledge of the issues specific to this type of injury was a wonderful bonus! She was transparent about what she was doing and why, adjusted her plans based on my feedback and was willing to work with my other doctors to make sure I was able to progress in my recovery. She was positive and encouraging at each step along the way. I have spent a lot of time in physical therapy and can truly say that I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Nicole Shires to my friends and family. She was respectful, kind, generous with her knowledge and gave me tools to aid my recovery. Many thanks!"
"My wife and I have both been treated for shoulder issues by Jamin Parezo at Esterson Physical Therapy and we can't say enough good things about him and the entire practice. Jamin is an EXCELLENT physical therapist who is skilled at hands-on PT as well as dry needling. He is always upbeat, professional and caring. From what we have observed you could not go wrong with any of the therapists at the practice. The receptionists and assistants are excellent as well. We have been treated at other PT clinics over the years and there is no comparison to Esterson. It was definitely worth the drive from our home in western howard county."
"I had two issues for which I sought care at Esterson Physical Therapy. I had a problem with my neck for which my doctor highly recommended Esterson PT as he had seen so much success from his other patients with similar neck problems. I also had a shoulder problem that persisted for quite a while. I received excellent care at Esterson Physical Therapy for both problems. Nicole was my therapist and she resolved both of my issues. She was fantastic at communicating with me about her plan for my care, my progress and suggestions for further evaluation from my physician. All of the staff at Esterson were extremely professional, friendly and caring. I highly recommend this practice."
"In early 2024, I started having shoulder pain while cycling. With a bit of hubris, I scoured the Internet for exercises that would cure my ailment. I thought I had all the answers, but after months of self-diagnosis, self-prescribed exercises, and no improvement, I contacted Dr. Jamin Parezo. It was the best decision. After one session, he diagnosed the issue as being caused by knots in my trapezius--the muscle between my spine and shoulder. I was skeptical at first, but Dr. Parezo's physical therapy, complete with soft tissue mobilization, resistance work, and dry needling, did the trick. He knew I had a cycling race on the calendar that I had targeted all year. With weeks to spare before my race, Dr. Parezo's work made the shoulder pain disappear and I had an excellent race. He stops me when I call him "The Wizard," but if you have an affliction that you can't cure, please see the "The Wizard" and tell him that I sent you."
