"The staff was amazing and very clean I enjoyed spending my time there and I would recommend people to come here. Everyone here was very helpful I miss home but being there I didn't feel lonely. My therapist was fantastic and helpful if you want to place where your love one can to heal and relax this is the place for you. I will be leaving soon but I will never forget the care and loved they have shown me"

""My mom had a very positive experience at Avantara Chicago Ridge for post-hospital rehab. The therapy team, was outstanding and helped my mom regain her mobility much faster than I expected. The facility itself is clean, modern, and feels more like a boutique hotel than a typical nursing home. A big thank you to the doctors, nurse practitioners, the nursing staff, CNA's and all the staff for their help in the process of getting my mom back on her feet so she could return home. Over the years my mom has been in plenty of rehabs after surgery but by far this is the best one. It wasn't perfect but what place is perfect?"

"If I could leave zero stars, I gladly would without a doubt. Walked in today to find my grandpa laying on the floor and his door was closed. We don't know how long he was lying on the ground but my goodness. Then for the staff manager to yell at us to "not take any pictures". The fact that everyone decides to just stand around instead of helping him up. Once they finally got him up, they found him to have had an accident and sitting in it for who knows how long. I pray that everyone sees this review along with the rest of your low score reviews and decides otherwise for the future."

"DO NOT put your family in this facility. My mom and dad's long time friend was admitted here and they put his catheter in the WRONG WAY!!!! They put it in reverse, therefore his urine was going back up into his private area causing it to become infected almost killing him, causing him a lot of pain."

"I gave one stars for the two nurses who were agency not really permanent there. That was very friendly and helpful to my mom. She broke her hip and was placed there for rehabilitation that did not happen unless someone was there from her family. They had to be reminded multiple times about her, sitting in a wheelchair with a hit, turned, her leg bent, and that she should've been watched. One day she was even soiled to the point it was running from me underneath the wheelchair while the two nurses or CNA's in charge of her room had a discussion at the first floor nursing station, didn't even know that I was her daughter coming to visit, about leaving her sitting there until they felt like cleaning her. They laughed and made reference of another lady one the 3rd floor which I can conclude they were treating the same way. They never even mopped after that! We (her family)used bleach wipes to clean the floor. We were visiting one day when we heard the man next door fall so hard that it shook the floor in my mom's room. Yet the nurse/CNA blamed him when she clearly walked away standing outside the door talking to someone although he was had been calling for her to help him. Some of the staff is rude and clearly not held responsible for their laziness and lack of attention to the patients who are their! The DOA seems unenthusiastic to making that place what it should be or at least what they claimed in our initial tour. My mom was eventually transferred to a hospital because while there she developed a UTI, pneumonia (they said because she not moving around), accelerated heart rate even though they had her one a monitor. My niece tried to get them to check her because she was not responding well when the physical therapist came in and was told that her POA need to call in after 1pm. Oh and someone took my mom's perfume spray and deodorant! IT WAS 10 am!!! Even the PT was shocked. Bottom line GO CHECK ON YALL PEOPLE!!! GET THEM OUT IF POSSIBLE!!"
