Testimonials
"I was very fortunate to be treated by Meredith after a clean up surgery for my meniscus. Having had a full repair a few years before, I had an idea of what my PT regime would look like.... And I knew what a less than stellar experience looked like. Thankfully, Meredith's approach to treatment was the polar opposite of what I had previously experienced. She listened to me, she communicated in clear and simple terms what was needed and why, she understood how to work with me, and how to push me to improve. The end result was a recovery from the procedure, an increase in strength, and the knowledge on how to sustain this newfound ability. I wholeheartedly recommend Meredith!"
"Highly recommend seeing Dr. Atkenson for all PT needs. My experience with her was the best I've ever had. I had torn my bicep and after surgery started seeing Dr. Atkenson. I am an avid weightlifter and was eager to get back to lifting as soon as possible. She guided me every step of the way, addressed all my concerns and gave me a personalized treatment plan. I'm back to lifting the way I was prior to the injury and could not be happier with the results. Dr Atkenson was essential in my recovery and will continue seeing her for any PT needs."
"Meredith was my PT while I recovered from 3 shoulder surgeries for a torn labrum. I saw her over the course of ~3 years and after being with countless PTs throughout my life, Meredith is undeniably the most thorough, smart, kind, inquisitive, and she actively advocates for her patients' wellbeing and welfare. I have never seen a PT go as above and beyond as she did by working to communicate with my volleyball trainers and doctors and challenging them when she believed they were missing something. Meredith is not only an amazing person and physical therapist, but she is always trying to professionally better herself by seeking additional qualifications that only 1% of PTs have. Her passion for patients and constant desire to learn makes her incredible. I would highly recommend to anyone! She is one of a kind!"
"I am a patient under Dr Atkenson's care. Over the years, I have had chronic pain in several joints. Working with Dr Atkenson, I have experienced a reduction in pain and regained the ability to return to acitivities I enjoy, namely yoga and swimming. By encouraging me to keep up my at-home program, even when I have been sidelined by life events, I feel she has set me up for long term success. Once I walked into a session after a life altering event and she totally changed my program on a dime. Those changes helped me throuh a tough stage. She is a creative practioner who cares for her patients both body and soul. I am grateful a dear friend recommended Dr. Atkenson to me and I highly recommnend her to others!"
"I came to Made Resilient with a few concerns, primarily a nagging knee and elbow issue. I'm an experienced lifter and have been squatting and benching over 350 and 250 pounds respectively with consistency for over 10 years. As I've gotten older wear and tear has began to affect my ability to lift without pain. I consulted with Meredith and she was able to clearly identify the source of my pain and provided a clear set of exercises that addressed my issues. Within a few sessions of seeing her and working on these exercises outside of PT, the elbow and knee were resolved and I'm able to lift the way that I want to without concern or pain."
"Dr Meredith Atkenson played a pivotal role in my running experience! Over the course of marathon training I got injured and needed physical therapy in order to reach my goals. Meredith listened to my concerns and worked with me to find a treatment plan while helping me finish my marathon! Over the years (and many marathons later) she is still the first person I go to whenever I feel any pain. She's professional while also being sure to treat clients as people and really getting to know them! I have continuously recommended Dr Atkenson to friends and family over the years and cannot wait to see her at this new location."
"I first met Dr. Atkenson while rehabbing a running injury around 2019. I had been having consistent pain in my lower left leg and foot after running distances over 5 miles and I was getting frustrated with minimal improvement. I had arrived at her practice after months of seeing other therapists. I really appreciate her kind demeanor and informative approach. She is very thorough with her evaluation and answered all the questions I had. She was invested in my recovery and it shows. I really appreciated her candidness when I was considering spending another $1K out of pocket for a questionable procedure with another "running" doctor. She advised against it, explaining that it wasn't necessary and would not alleviate the pain I was feeling. So glad I listened. Every time I arrived for treatment, she took the time to listen to what was working and made adjustments when needed. I never felt rushed and always felt she genuinely cared about my well being. She is a driven practitioner that continues to advance her knowledge and skills to provide advanced care for the benefit of her patients. I recommend Meredith to anyone who want a doctor who is involved, caring and who has your best interest in mind."
