"I don't expect doctors to be 100% but I am very put off when I feel like they are not listening to what the patient and the patient's body are saying, especially when the doctor turns out to be wrong. This was the case here and is the primary reason for the negative review. Bottom Line: insisted that there was no possibility that there could be a stress fracture in my 14-year-old daughter's back when in fact, there was a stress fracture that didn't get discovered until we saw an orthopedic surgeon five months later. In the appointment he was abrupt and seemed more intent on talking rather than listening to the symptoms my daughter was sharing. He seemed quite annoyed that we had already gotten an MRI, which showed no significant findings to back up the presenting symptoms. Despite having already been in physical therapy without success for two months, he prescribed more physical therapy. We tried this for four additional months without results before seeking a second opinion. Orthopedic surgeon found evidence of a stress fracture in the original MRI when he read the images and found her symptoms to be consistent with that diagnosis. Treatment necessary was full shut down from all sports activities and therapy, exactly the opposite of that prescribed by Dr. Desai."
