"I was at alden for 18 days. Very nice facility food was good but the staff was excellent. Physically therapists Kevin and Joanna. Were great with me even when I was crabby. Nurses Maria Kelly and Chantelle were wonderful and prompt when I needed them. I don't have all the other names but everyone I dealt with - like Moses were great at their jobs very clean and pretty knowledgeable I would definitely recommend Alden to others searching for a rehabilitation center"

"I left a message with the receptionist for Kat the Director of Admissions to call me back about the potential admittance of a relative who needs rehab care. Kat failed to call me back on two occasions. I never heard from her. This facility does not seem to together or they are incredibly busy and could care less about new intakes. In any case, do better, when an interested client calls for information. This is appallingly poor!!"

"My sister, who happens to be intellectually disabled, recently had a 3-month stay at Alden/Des Plaines due to an injury from a fall. Each person there treated her extremely well with kindness, respect and optimal care. She had the best occupational therapy and physical therapy she's ever had anywhere else. It was outstanding. The communication I had with Alden's entire team was most excellent and I especially can't thank Melissa enough for all her help. I highly recommend them!! Feb. 2025"

"In years past, my grandmother and aunt had stayed at Alden and were happy with the care provided, so when my father fractured his pelvis, Alden was his first choice, and he was there for close to a month. He is typically very conservative with praise, so the fact that he is home now and STILL speaking highly of Kelly, Kevin, Joanna and the rest of the team is saying something. Thank you, guys!!"

"There are simply not enough words to describe how thankful I am for Alden Des Plaines, from the Director Joe, to the nurses, to the staff and Frank. My mom has been in and out of the hospital and has been to various rehab facilities, her view of rehab was get me in and out, I do not want to stay here or live out my days here. But then she was admitted to Alden and her view has completely changed. She was able to recover, and was discharged. Now being home, she is trying to figure out ways she can go back. She enjoyed the dining halls, the various fun activities, get her hair cut, and even made some friends with other patients. They listened to her needs, assisted however they could, and most of all made her feel valued and cared for. I was able to have a sense of calm knowing how well she was being taken care of, and could rely on them to tell me if there were any issues (I wasn't so fortunate at other rehabs). I've tried to write this review many times, each time tears falling from my eyes, as I can never truly express just how incredibly grateful I and my mom are. Alden Des Plaines was our blessing, and though I don't wish my mom to have to go back any time soon, I know that if she needs to, she will be well taken care of and I can rest a little easier. A big thank you again to Joe and his wonderful staff!"

"To begin, a big hug goes out to Diana, Danielle, Alma and the entire physical therapy group.... You are simply the best!!! The staff at Alden are some of the most wonderful people you could ever meet! They made my father in law's stay comfortable and their kindness and true caring for their patients shows through in everything they do. You get a feeling of comfort when you know that they are treating your loved one like one of their own family. They always made our family's visits welcoming and we were always greeted personally at the door. If you find yourself in need of rehabilitative services, I highly recommended them, you will be very pleased with their service."

"My Aunt was in care at Alden for 7 years! We had high expectations and the staff at Alden delivered. They were caring, and responded to requests with warmth and promptness. They took time to share information about my Aunt's day or explaining services they had recently provided. There were kind and caring people on all three shifts. We have family nearby who visited and checked on her frequently. She was always well tended to, kept clean, the food was appealing to her, and she was allowed visitors to walk in at any time (except during Covid). They had activities, music, and outings planned, provided therapy, and Alden truly became her home. Toward the end of her life, Family Hospice tended to her new needs right there in her familiar setting at Alden. The two organizations worked together seamlessly and cooperatively, with daily hospice visits and 24-hour support for my Aunt and family members. With instructions from hospice, they kept my Aunt comfortable. We were very pleased with the facility and the care my aunt received."
