Testimonials
"I have been experiencing some insomnia for several months, so Hyde Park Chiropractic Wellness Center came highly recommended by my GM, Y. Oby. My 1st visit with Dr. Balan was amazing. I felt heard & safe, something I don't always feel as a brown person. Shout out to Dr. Balan's assistant, Ms. Nicole for jumping through hoops in getting appointment on such a short notice. I'm already looking forward to seeing you all next week!"
"Business is located above Benny's and Ross in a strip mall, so depending on the time of day, parking can be tight. Very calm, clean, sanitized, and peaceful atmosphere. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Dr Balan is knowledgeable, offering great insight and suggestions for treatment."
"I've been to Hyde Park Chiropractic Wellness Center several times over the last 2 years for consultations and Acupuncture. Dr. Balan is skilled,. professional, and very caring to each patient she services. Her knowledge of holistic medicine is phenomenal. Her Staff members are pleasant and knowledgeable making every visit a Win-Win for me."
"My first visit was for a consultation. Dr. Balan was concise and professional. I have confidence that she can help disclose the health concerns I have and prescribe correct treatment."
"The WORST experience in quite some time! Not even worthy of a 1 star, Zero Stars! First, I attempted to set an appointment, make contact via their website... After not hearing back from them I called on October 3rd, due to their limited hours of operation, we settled on October 9th. The young lady said they would email me something confirming, which I never received. Yesterday at 4:10pm I received a call from the office confirming first, that I still was coming in...yes, I replied. Second part of the conversation pivoted to my co-pay. Please note I have never seen, met or visited this office or doctor ever before. The receptionist begins to explain because of my deductible the co-pay would be for X amount, and the next 19 visits would be at X amount. Huh? I haven't even been diagnosed?! To which I replied let me call you back I need to do some comparison shopping. After contemplating, I decided to honor my appointment. I go to the office above Binnys. I arrive and the door is locked and I see people inside. Ultimately, the receptionist comes to the door and let's me in she states there aren't any visits scheduled for today??? She asks me my name and I provide to which she responds, your appointment was yesterday.... What??? She then checks the system and then states that I canceled my visit on yesterday, to which I replied I stated that I would call her back and never did so how did I cancel??? Crickets!!! I said you know what, it's fine and walked out! I don't know when empathy left the medical field but this is extremely low level service and professionalism. It's a business so professionalism is expected but what's not expected is the total lack of empathy. So disappointing and utterly appalling. If you are not going to provide the service at a high level while leading with empathy...then why stay in business??? Fact is if we follow the timeline, I have been in pain for weeks, no response to online inquiry, then there's the limited hours of operations...coupled with telling me less than 24 hours before my exam that I'll need to pay a deductible of almost $300.00 then upset that I am going to call around to compare pricing as any good shopper would...and cancel my appointment?? Something does not smell right! Is this a scam?? The business setup to exploit patients insurance companies??? It does not make sense. For the sake of argument, the co-pay amount was not the problem... How you presented and represented this business was and is simply disgusting. What happens to those on fixed budgets and you drop the news of the $300 co-pay due in hours, and not days, on them? Clearly they were more concerned with speaking to my insurance company to understand how to charge me for 20 VISITS, having never seen me, then actually talking with and to me, THE PATIENT. Zero Stars out of Five."
"I absolutely love Dr. Balan and her team! I started seeing her after an injury in my pregnancy& she took such amazing care of me from my second trimester all the way until days before my birth. She is truly invested in patient wellness and so attentive. Dr. Balan is also an expert who is so helpful in helping you to understand your own body. I've loved my experience with everyone in her office so much that I've brought my entire family to receive care with her! Cannot recommend her enough!"
"Dr. Balan and the Hyde Park Chiropractic staff never disappoints! I actually look forward to my appointments as I'm always met with a sense of calm and peace, knowing that I am in the expert hands of Dr. Balan who's kind, caring, manner, and wealth of knowledge is "health" and well-being to more than the body. The staff is most pleasant and personable, and the atmosphere speaks of healing and nature through music and more. Most importantly, I've never had an issue that Dr. Balan could not handle, and that with the utmost care and genuine concern. It's a wonderful thing!"
