Testimonials

Lake M

"Back in Motion truly lives up to its name. This is my second time using their services, and once again, the experience has been exceptional. What sets this practice apart is their glass-half-full approach to recovery. From day one, the therapists focus on what can be done--progress, possibility, and practical steps forward--rather than limitations. The therapists genuinely listen. They take the time to understand not just the pain, but the root cause, and then create a recovery plan that is fully customized to individual needs. I never felt rushed or placed into a one-size-fits-all protocol. Every session felt intentional, supportive, and empowering. My return visit was for chronic back pain, and it was an easy decision to come back after the success I previously had with pelvic floor therapy. That earlier experience was transformative and pain-relieving, which built a deep level of trust in their care. Within just a few weeks of treatment--combined with the self-work and guidance they provided--I was pain-free and mobile again. The progress felt sustainable, not temporary, because they focus on education, proper movement, and long-term recovery."

"I had a great experience working with Julie and Maddie after a knee injury and surgery. Everyone here is extremely knowledgeable and my care was always tailored to my specific needs rather than just following a checklist. I greatly appreciated that my care was always one-on-one, and I was never handed off or made to wait while they juggled multiple patients. The front desk staff is also excellent, both in person and over the phone. I thought my days of being active were over after my injury, but I feel confident returning to full activity after the care I recieved here."

"As an athlete, injuries are going to happen. Thankfully Back In Motion has kept me doing what I live in spite of injuries. I come back stronger than ever each time. Olivia and Bruana are amazing physical therapists. I highly recommend Back In Motion."

"I recently had top left hip replacement surgery. Marinel was my physical therapist. She has been very attentive to my hip recovery and included therapy for my long term, on-going issue of my back pain muscles associated with certain vertebrae, which she thinks are related issues. She has helped me deal with proper ways to stand up, as well as many maneuvers for me to properly do PT exercises for balance, strength, and strengthening. I am progressing very well, and because I am leaving the state for 4 months, she developed a program for me to follow while I am gone. Virtually everything she says and does is worth remembering for my recovery. Thank-you, Marinel!"

Alex MacGillivray

"My experience was and is positive. I not only gained confidence with my balance and overall stiffness's but BIG also enabled me to have tools and exercises that would help my muscles stay active and challenged I highly recommend this program and the PT staff for pushing me to work on the areas that have been impacted by Parkinson's-particularly those areas that I'd prefer not to work on because they are more difficult! If you do the exercises, you will see results-and your friends and family will see them before you do!"

"I have been a client for a couple of years, coming and going during that time. The staff is supportive, and I feel comfortable receiving therapy. Ann Marie made it a point to face me while speaking, as I rely on lip reading, and she listened to my concerns. She also wrote down instructions for exercises to do at home and researched additional information when needed. Thank you! :)"

Teresa Brunson

"I highly recommend the Alexandria Back in Motion. My main physical therapist was Anne Marie Simko and she was fabulous. She is very knowledgeable, personable, professional and caring. I also saw Julie Huelsman and Katy Lyon a couple times and they were also excellent physical therapist. They were also very knowledgeable and personable and so very helpful. This is a very professional and friendly office. I received the best care."
