Testimonials
"The last time I was there, it was fantastic. Despite my dislike of needles, Dr. Day and her wonderful associates, Linda and Donna, make me feel comfortable. I'll visit Union Memorial every time I get a mammogram. I would like to express my gratitude to the professional team and apologize if I have forgotten the names of the women who helped Dr. Day. They always have a warm and inviting demeanor. I'm grateful! Thanks so much!"
"I just had my 2nd heart surgery with Dr. Meininger and his team. He is always very professional and pleasant ... and takes the time to provide and discuss important details about the procedure while answering all questions in a genuine and thorough manner. He also researches and implements the most current and effective treatment processes available and provides excellent post surgical care and followup. I recommend him 100%."
"Friendly and efficient staff. Back surgery went well with minimum pain post surgery. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Bathroom was not well cleaned in 3 days. Commode leg had hard brown on it which we were told was rust but wiped off with a bit of rubbing. When checking in sheets on gurney were stained or dirty. Third set appeared clean."
"On March 4 , I had a PF Ablation done by Dr. Meininger . Every thing went well and he was very informant before the surgery and even after. The nursing staff was very accommodating with the prep work and after the surgery during the rest period. Rod was very good also. I would have no problem coming back if needed and would highly recommend Union Memorial based on my past experience. T Y"
"Doctors are excellent, nurses and attending staff are kind, considerate, caring, and extremely competent. Met all my needs. Made me feel comfortable and safe. Meals were delicious and kitchen staff responded to all my dietary needs very quickly. Union Memorial is a first-class hospital and has an excellent orthopedic team that makes the patient feel safe and well cared for."
"I love this hospital and the doctor, but today September 5th at 730pm an employee yelled at us at the parking lot saying we can't park here and its only for employees (the sign clearly states for patient) . My mom is a patient of this hospital and we were told by the doctor to park here. We explained that to the female employee but she didn't want to listen and was very nasty. In fact she was parked in the patients parking spot instead of the staff parking spot. I'm worried she can't read. Update: Very nasty security desk clerk (unprofessional raising their voice). Also racially biased. Allows certain children in and some not for visitation. They said "no exception". Everyone that visits this hospital is not here for fun and have a family in need. Even the other visitor waiting at the lobby was shocked because of unprofessionalism and they also stated they saw children allowed entry. Please learn to be fair. See if this makes sense, children are allowed to to go in if a family member died, so an alive patient that want to see their grandchild for morale support can not been see unless they are dead?? Hmmm? 11/15/2025 10:40am."
"On 12-18-25, I had neck surgery and though it was successful, I was in a lot of pain. Only the heat packs were helpful and nurses kept me stocked with them. But all the staff was helpful from reception to CNA to nurses to anesthesiologist to surgeons and any one else I may have forgotten. Let's not forget the cleanliness. My room was immaculate and stocked when I went in overnight for observation. The next day, a janitorial staff came to my room to clean, including picking up trash on the floor I caused because I kept missing the trash can next to my bed. He asked twice if I wanted my room cleaned thoroughly but I told him I was leaving later this same day and wait until then."
"Have been seen a few years now with Dr Meninger for management of both my folks rhythm issues. He's very reassuring and patient. Absolutely felt like he had my folks best interest in mind with care planning, and when needed, he personally referred us promptly to the specialty heart failure clinic for evaluation. Accompanied mother for eval at AHF clinic with Dr. Xu, and later for a PYP scan. Can't say enough positive things about Dr. Xu. Feeling incredibly thankful for his insights, and time spent with Mom. Patient and informative, explaining plans so we all understood. Follow up has been great thru mychart portal, and attention to detail is apparent. Spent another day at PYP scan in nuclear medicine. Technician Tom was wonderful, and explained in detail about the testing. Very kind and helpful with my mother. Appreciated his calm demeanor, patience with Moms limitations and professionalism throughout testing. Highly recommend Union Memorial Heart Care."
