Dr. Richard S Yoon

"He did a good job on my clavicle surgery but his bedside manner could use a lot of work. I understand he is very busy, but he didn't put any effort in to make me feel like he cared in the slightest. He still has no idea why my injury happened (it was not my fault) and gave me attitude when I mentioned that I was dealing with a lot in my personal life and did not have a lot of time to give proper attention to my recovery. After my surgery and needing anti-nausea meds, it took him 8 hours to call me back and he accused me of interrupting his family dinner. I would not have chosen him as a doctor if I didn't need surgery emergently. His staff, however, was wonderful and kind- all of them both in the office and at the hospital. So this review is not for them. Dr. Yoon is not the type of doctor that you want to deal with in a difficult time of your life as he does not make things any easier. I am now under the care of a doctor that cares, and I could not be happier to be done with Dr. Yoon."

"I'm really happy that Dr. Yoon preformed my hip replacement. Dr. Yoon is friendly and very receptive to any questions I asked. I didn't feel rushed at all. And, to make everything perfect, I now have a new hip that doesn't hurt me anymore. 5 stars to Dr. Yoon and his staff."

"STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR! I never write reviews, but I had to after the way this doctor discriminated and harassed my grandmother for questions about her knee replacement. Throughout the appointment, he dismissed her concerns about the risks of a major surgery, and berated her for her "terrible English". Mind you, she's been living in America for twenty years, and though she asks for an interpreter, she can completely understand when you're yelling at her. He was also yelling at the interpreter, completely unprovoked and unwarranted. He also seemed to always be in a rush, and made it a point to look at his watch as if he couldn't wait to be rid of us. Even worse than the bedside manner, he lied on the patient chart about having explained to the patient the risks of the surgery, when he didn't explain a single thing. This person should never practice medicine, much less surgery. Just because we are immigrants, with English is our second language, does not mean we shouldn't be respected and treated equally. I will never trust him to take care of my grandma, and you shouldn't too!"
